Smart Lock broken in 8.1

Had this trouble still aswell - no update, just all of a sudden - blank smart lock settings page and smart lock not working.
Unset Trust agents, reboot, set again worked like a champ. Pixel phone.

I called Google and all they recommend me to do is "Factory Reset"... I did *NOT* do that... did someone else tried that by any chance?

ha! just as it disappeared at first place, it just appeared on my phone again... looks like Google fixed this issue) can someone confirm besides me that it's all good?

I can confirm that it was working "better" in April, and survived reboots, but after upgrading to the May update and re-rooting with Magisk, it was blank again. I'd rather just disable it and add in a more reliable 3rd party one, but is there such a thing as a 3rd party smart lock app that has the same powers as Googles??
