Smoothness Becomes Less Eventually?

This has how I started to deal with trolls but I'm to the point where I just read their post and see how it's going to end anyways and don't even waste my time even thinking of replying.

Oh my god. This is exactly what I do nowadays when I see troll and stupid comments. Damn I thought I was the only one. Though I'm trying to improve, could save a lot of time by simply ignoring them.

I myself had the Note 7 and this phone puts the Note 7 to shame in a speed comparison. My note 7 lagged like no other. Maybe mine was a defective one but my Pixel XL is blazing fast even after about 2 months of usage. ?
Yours wasn't defective, its called touchwiz and samdung. No comparison to pure(nexus) android. [emoji12] [emoji12]

Tapped from my pure pixelXl

My previous phone was a Note 7. My standards are a bit high... If you are not familiar with Note 7, it's like trading in a Bugatti Veyron for a Mustang (and yes, I own a Stang.)
You own a Stang? Cool story bro.

Note7 had great hardware/design. That's about it. The software was laggy Samsung **** that looked like ****, as usual. I enjoy having a phone that is actually smooth and fast in daily usage, and doesn't make me want to chuck it out the window.

As for OP, the only reason your device will get slower over time is if you completely overload the storage, or if you've added or updated apps that are hogging resources in ways that they shouldn't be. Or if a software update introduces OS changes that become too much for outdated hardware to handle (clearly not the issue here). The idea of a phone slowing down over time "just 'cause" is pure bull****.

I'm only keeping it because FI is so cheap for low data usage.
Boom Mobile with Verizon service is potentially cheaper for people that need unlimited talk and text. Their $19.99 prepaid service includes taxes, fees, and some data. Except for the 1 GB add-on, their other prepaid options on Verizon are likewise cheaper than Fi pricing. Basically Fi is likely to be comparatively higher priced, although it might be more convenient, depending on data usage.

I'm venting here because I'm searching for a way to fix my brand new beautiful Mustang - you see, one tire is constantly losing pressure and the trunk just straight up doesn't close.
In other words, I'm extremely frustrated with my brand new $930 device. And the fact that Google just released a 50MB security update and still didn't fix a crippling BT bug introduced in 7.1.1 doesn't help the issue.

Thanks. This article is informative. I have a different BT bug, where having a smart watch connected forces an incoming BT device to connect as "Connected (no phone)" thus making the BT device useless. But hopefully Google will fix this as well.
That's weird. I don't have this issue using my Moto 360 and my turtle beach headphones. Phone calls work fine for me. Maybe it's an issue with the Bluetooth device you're using. What device are you using where you're experiencing this. My buddy has beats and a Moto 360. His work fine too.

Jabra Talk and Motorola Roadster 2, Huawei Watch. The bug manifested itself after the 7.1.1 update.

Yes I had a Note 7 as well, talked myself into getting it hoping TouchWiz was better. It was a laggy POS, drove me nuts. Plus the slow updates and stuff suck. Hardware wise though it was a beautiful beast. Loved the build and the base 64 GB. I'd be in heaven with a body designed by Samsung and software from a Pixel/Google.

Slow updates? The Note 7 was barely on the market long enough to receive an update. I owned a S7E before the Pixel. I was quite pleased with performance and speed and was impressed by how quickly Samsung pushed monthly security updates. I have a hard time believing the Note 7 was so laggy and such a slouch considering how solid the S7E was.

I would have thought that you've had enough experience with your Samsung devices to know that there is significant delay in major update rollouts from Samsung and that this is possibly the slow update frequency that he is complaining about, not security ones.

I get that, however Samsung has made improvements and their rollout of Nougat this month (now halted) isn't terribly far behind the October release. My specific point was aimed at you complaining about slow updates on the Note 7 when in reality there was no major update reasonably expected on the Note 7 during its short lifespan.

Nah I definitely notice lags here and there :(

I was just scrolling in the list of messages in Stock Messenger app, and while scrolling up and down frame frame drops are more than clearly noticeable. I think some apps are optimised much better than others. Like YouTube, Play Store is excellently optimised, with rare frame drops, Google Maps is smooth almost always, but drops frames when live traffic is loaded or satellite view, and then there's Play Games, which defines frame drops.

I guess I'm just expecting iOS like smoothness system wide.
