If you're still on stock ROM will you continue to use your tablet? Mine works great but I'm not sure anymore because of the unpatched security risks.
Do you think that will be enough? I really like my tablet. I can even get new Samsung made batteries. I'm not sure if I should use it for banking though.Hoping to run this thing into the ground. I just try to monitor my devices and network and employ some safe practices like not using public WiFi, using VPN, strong and unique passwords etc.
Subjectively yes, based upon my usage I'm comfortable with what I'm doing. Depending on what you're doing with the device, what information you store/transmit to/from it, what apps you use and sites you visit YMMV. For me i don't do anything fancy on my Note Pro - other than app updates for stuff I've had for ages I don't do much experimenting with new apps on it anymore and I don't game or do mobile banking on it.Do you think that will be enough? Thanks. I will continue to use it but I don't feel comfortable using it for mobile banking anymore.Subjectively yes, based upon my usage I'm comfortable with what I'm doing. For me monitoring and general awareness goes a long way. Being aware of holes like these is part of that and if I can't patch a particular vulnerability then keeping a handle on how one can be exposed is the next best thing - that is where best practices comes in.
I have received several fixes this month. KRACK was fixed last year.I read that the destop PC patches for Spectre and Meltdown had been recalled and there is no fix for these on any platform.
