SMS App on Stock Rom

Hey people.

I'm thinking of going back to the stock rom, because it's more stable for the use that i do, except in one little thing. The stock sms app lags when i'm reaching the text limits. But i don't want to use another SMS app (like Handcent or GoSMS or ChompSMS or any other like this ones) because it will make my phone slows down.

So i'm thinking if there's an way to get the SMS app from MiniCM6. I copied the MMS.apk to my phone but yeah, i doesn't work, i don't know, problably i'm doing something wrong.

Can anybody help me with this?

I doubt it'd work because of it being a stock rom, have you tried GingerDX? It's super stable to be fair.

MMS don't work in every 2.3 rom i've tried, i can't send/receive MMS.

I wan't the VERY stable and VERY fast 2.1 rom that i have with MY own selection of costumizations, but i want the sms app from MiniCM6 (i think that the original Android 2.1 as the same SMS app, but i don't know how to port it and change the dafault sms app from the SE one to that)

I had it but i don't like it. I just want the sms app for the stock rom.
