I was tempted to wait for this phone or even just get the W1 as it is dirt cheap on banggood at the mo, but I went for a 64gb GPD XD instead. The storage won me over. No more foldermount or link2sd finally!

The demand must be so low that they are folding the product..... that sucks

What about their local market? Any chance to import? They should have backed the smaller version and dropped the stupid 3D.

Made the phone more expensive and undesirable than it should have been. I cant believe these design ideals werent obvious

I know right. Moreover they never listened to their possible customers. I sent thousands of e-mails and they never responded. I hope some other company develops a real gaming phone with the portability and looks of a normal phone but full gaming buttons.

It saddens and frustrates me. I held off on getting a replacement for my nexus 5 as I was hoping for this phone. What made me say enough was when a week before the original release they send out a statement about pushing the release back. And it was from amazon first ,nothing from them, never from them. I got frustrated with all the non responsive emails i sent them. It's sad that it's most likely gone now but not surprising. I moved on to a nexus 6 and love this phone.

Is the smaller version releasing in China? I would happily import the Snail W
i have not seen nor heard of this device, any one have URLs or links to it.

Man this sucks, i'll be stuck with a crappy phone for ever. i'll sooner build my own with a 3d printer and crappy joy stick addons embed in the 3d printed case at this point. Maybe had they released the product they would have made some sales or done a straight up kickstarter, i my self held off cause it kept getting delayed.

So sad that the gaming phone dream is once again dead

Snail was the only company trying to make the damn thing at this point right?

well, i think SMACH Z would be an interesting device, and i'll definetly buy it when it come out and we are aware of what it's capable of. nowhere as portable as the xplay, but to me neither the w3d was....i don't know of any gaming phone that can keep up with the xplay, portably wise at least...

On snails Facebook page I took a screenshot of the Amazon release date and left a pretty nasty comment regarding my frustration with this phone and the company. Some of it might be harsh but I am just really really upset with them the weight alone has already been asinine and now this happens and no communication from the company on this device or any announcement of the date being pushed back. Snail should be the first place everyone goes to for communication and they have no communication whatsoever. It seems like all that I want to push is there age of wushu. I realize I am just venting, but again I am just very disappointed and angry with them. I am sure a crapton goes on behind the scenes that we don't know about, but this has to be one of the worst product roll outs I've seen. Again, just upset. Rant done.

Awesomeness man that thing is going to be practically out of date when it comes out better have some kick ass games!

I read on droid gamers that supposedly they are replacing the Mediatek processor with a unknown snapdragon

As much as I want this phone to be awesome, I am getting very frustrated with Snail games on their lack of comunication, and the fact that we have wait 6 months for the release date and now 6 more months for release, this is ridiculous.

Just noticed this official post on Snail's website:

    http://www.snail.com/en/news/2015/0108/8683.html

I realize this article is several months old now, but I noticed the following line for those in the US who are interested:

" The phones available in the North American market will arrive unlocked and compatible with most U.S. network providers."

Guess this means that, at the time of this writing, they either did not plan on any carrier support in store, or had nothing lined up yet. That's all, just wanted to share what I found.
