I am not sure it how to answer this, I don't think it can be compared because both are two different things. This is a mid ranger and the S4 is a flagship. Flagships are always better compared to mid rangers. You can't compare both but I am sure on the software and camera part of Moto G4 Plus won't be disappointing to you. Nevertheless, you can buy a Moto G4 Plus and I am sure it will last atleast 2 years in Development here. I am sure of this because I had a Moto G1 and after close to 2.5 years, development has become less with devs moving to newer devices but it has never ceased till now. I t depends on how you want your device to be. If you wanted for hardcore gaming or hard usage, I am not sure it will fit your needs. But if you wanted it for a mixed usage of gaming for few hours and then do your usual usage, I am sure you wouldn't be disappointed.
