Snapdragon vs exynos: A long time joke from Samsung.

Which note10 + variant would you buy should you have a free choice?

Not really. I don't see the link between CPU and shutter speed, could you enlight me ?
Shutter is linked with ISO ; when it is dark the Note10+ (SD or Exy, does not matter) uses lowest ISO for an acceptable shutter speed for stabilization (down to 1/10th sec or so) resulting in blur if the subject moves in low light, because it sets a slow shutter. But it has nothing to do with the CPU.
It is only due to the small sensor, in low light, the camera itself, among as the limited ISO available (only up to 1250 in auto-mode and 800 manual). So the shutter speed is set slow to reduce the grain because the software tells it to.
Unsure if it an exynos thing and I have never had the SD version but I have noticed that Samsung seem to push their luck with shutter speed and when compared to my Pixel 4 and P30 pro the Samsung ALWAYS has a lower shutter speed for the same scene. The end result is (for me anyway) that when there is any movement at all in a scene the photos are blurry.

My theory is that Samsung used the same camera hardware for the main camera this year as the S9 and they have tried to make up for it with software, sadly Google has way better special sauce and Huawei have better hardware too. The camera has been a big disappointment for me on all of the S/Notes this year. No idea if the Snapdragon version is better?

mind to share the list of bloat ware you disable? My note10+ 975F having problem on standby drain...

I have a 975F, and to be honest, All you say seems to me as if you talk about othet device than the 975F, high performance mode, AOD to always show, a bunch of utilities running, auto brighteness on, etc, but all bloatware disabled, and many apps that dont really need to be always running, put ro always sleep, with all this, I have no lags, no sttuters, the cam is blazing fast, I never let my batts to deplete completely, but I get some 7~8 SOT, and a total of some 20 hs when 15~20% of batt remaining, so, I can not ask for more, the best device among all my note series devices(2,3,4,7,8,10+) I have had to this very day

My Snapdragon SM-N9750/ds does not get hot, the warmest it has got was after casting overnight to my tv, with phone under my pillow....lol

I don't game on this device, so i can't specify how cool it stays under such circumstances.

From reading it sounds like the Snapdragon is all around better in the battery sense (but there will inevitably be exynos users that say it isn't so)
Even before Samsung announced ending its exynos line, i didn't want one due to the potential of less overall "performance"

I Have an exynos note 10+, I have done ane run everything I could, and I have never managed to get the device hot, that is, just became a little warm, which is normal for any device, in fact, the hottest part being the screen, due to the heat or the light itself, where I live the ambient temp is around 30 degrees Celsius

Yeah I'll stick with exynos. Faster updates and well argument ends there... And I didn't get the US bloatware. Looking at you Microsoft

Personally I'd go with EX, but it has nothing to do with performance... I haven't seen a phone I was interested in in my region where the bootloader could be unlocked and I could root in a long time.
Unlocked bootloader might change on exynos chipsets since AMD is partnering with samsung there can be a possibility that they can also lock the bootloader and up the security on their exynos chipsets because of it. Let's wait and see what happens.

And this you know§ can actually tell you that Sweden got S10lite with just snapdragon 855 inside, so your statement isnt true is it cheers
The "lite" variant of these phones can't be considered a flagship.
To make them "lite", compromises have been made to reduce the cost...
But it may be Samsung is having trouble producing enough Exynos chips and are substituting the SD instead...

Good to see you around, it has been quite a while.
Hope all is good in your world.
