Complaining about a camera is ridiculous. Mine has been excellent especially with HDR mode on.

I find it so funny that people complain so much about their phone not being able to function as a camera... Maybe it's just me, I'm not on fb and don't take a ton of pictures.

I would like to say my Nikon has been having terrible cell signal... Hoping they address this in the next wave of top-notch cameras! :)

While I agree that phones shouldn't be a dedicated camera, most people who are dissatisfied with the camera on the DROID RAZR HD are people who are migrating from the one x or galaxy s3, even s2. All of those cameras have much better results than this new RAZR HD.

I can somewhat sympathize with those that complain about the poor camera quality. these smartphones aren't cheap so it's reasonable to expect a somewhat decent camera.
my standards for a camera aren't high so i'm OK with it. it takes pictures quickly and they're good enough for showing to my friends and family.
in any case, my biggest gripe of smartphones in general has been their poor battery but with this phone all is well!:good:

Who cares
If you want a camera, go buy a camera its a phone not a Nikon. Keep that in mind.

This. I understand it's nice, but it really shouldn't be a deal breaker. This is a kick ass device any way you slice it.

I decided to keep the Razr over my S3. I think I'll be happier with it overall. But now I'm debating switching it for the Maxx HD, not sure if it'll be worth it though

Just picked up my RAZR MAXX HD yesterday, have already decided I'm keeping it. This phone is amazing (which isn't saying much stepping up from the original Incredible). Blazing processing speed, beautiful indicator light, fast 4G connectivity everywhere I go, ridiculous battery life... And (this is just personal taste) I prefer the look/feel of the RAZR MAXX HD to the SGSIII. I just can't do a blue phone (let alone a white phone - ugh, apple...); black is for me, not to mention the kevlar/aluminum materials - finally a phone not made of plastic. Perfect size, screen is MASSIVE and the HD resolution is AMAZING, yet it's within the upper border of what I'd consider a "phone" and not a "tablet," unlike the Note 2. I've started calling my RAZR MAXX HD my mini tablet that can make phone calls ;) Impressed with the speaker volume and call volume (don't know what all the complaints are about). Honestly, it's too early for me to have any complaints about it... and this coming from someone who has "immediate buyer's remorse" with every major purchase, haha.

I would be perfectly happy if it wasn't for the under par camera. Trying to see past out though with all the great parts about it

I take maybe 1 pic a month (ok, maybe 2 pics), and I was content with the 3.2MP and the 5MP on my Ally and Incredible. I'm not a photographer, and not into pics, so this was a non-issue. And people probably don't want my opinion on the camera because it's plenty good enough for me ;) haha

I replaced my s3 with the HD Maxx...much better build quality, radio and battery...camera isn't worth keeping s3 over HD Maxx.

Here is one I took today with camerazoomfx and its still terrible. Look how blurry the whole pic is. I even took it twice cause I thought it was me moving but it was the same blurry result. (I know the bag was moving so that is understandably blurry but the rest of the pic shouldn't be!

Deezy you keeping it?

Camera is actually decent for close up shots, it's the far away ones that suck it up.

Here's one from 5am this morning.
