So heres the Fat question: Who's returning and who's keeping

I am currently using an S3. I have a 7 year old and I do use my camera. What I'll add to this is that I don't find the actual quality of the pics too be bad, even though they aren't as good as my S3. The problem is that there is a few seconds worth of leaf from when you press the button as to when it actually takes the picture.

That's my issue. Trying to take pics of a "moving target" otherwise my daughter is hard enough. But when I press the button and the camera had to take an extra few seconds that does bother me.

I realize that some people may not use the camera as much as I do. But conversely, I don't need to have a phone that can go for 2 days off the charger. BTW my S3 gets 4.5 hours of screen time, I'm running an aosp ROM.

I got the Razr HD Maxx the first day it was available from Verizon. I actually left TMobile after over 10 years with them specifically for the phone and I have to say I'm very, very happy with the phone.

My last phone at TMobile was the HTC Amaze 4G.

Things I like better about the Razr HD Maxx:
Battery life
Reception (this could just be the network)
Battery life
Screen size
Battery life
Build quality
Battery life

Things I liked better about the Amaze 4G:
Camera

In all seriousness, I have 4G in places where my X2 struggled with CDMA. Still, nothing helps in the middle of a concrete building. But once it grabs a signal, it holds on.

Here in my city Tmobiles coverage is MUCH better than verizon. Its once you leave the city the tables are turned.

Is there anywhere with a direct comparison of the GS3 and razr HD? I bought a GS3 and am looking into exchanging it for the razr.

Keeping. I live outside of the city and am hard on things, so it's a perfect fit with the top-notch construction and Motorola radio. I guess I might feel different if I cared that much about camera quality, but a) I don't think it's that bad, b) most my photos are outdoors, and c) meh.

Also, the stock ROM seems awfully close to vanilla...

I think the gs3 heaphones sound better.
I like the gs3 screen better.

The razr hd reception seems on par with gs3.
The RAZR camera is Truly Disappointing after being Spoiled with the GS3 camera.
The gs3 camera is so good that i dont bring a digital camera on trips anymore.

The on screen buttons are not resizable so the actual working space of the razr hd screen is about 4.1 inches.
If youve had a gs3 its hard to lose that screen real estate.

Im pissed that verizon and moto. have blocked the picasa/g+ sync from the gallery to push VZW's PAY CLOUD SERVICE.
on all my other phones ive used the google + auto upload feature to store my photos online.
now you have to Root and Hack to make the gallery work the way it was intended.

I have the razr maxx hd and the gs3.
The razr is sitting on my night stand while the gs3 is being used.

Im not a gs3 FANBOY. I bought the razr hd because i loved my OG MAXX.
I dont know if i can continue to be a motorola guy.

I find the Razr HD to have a better screen than the S3, the S3 makes whites look grey at about 40% brightness, which is where I leave it

i just put mine up for sale on swappa. the gs3 just works better for me.

Just exchange it. You have 14 days if you bought through verizon, longer through other places.

Everyone... and I mean everyone knows the g3 radios are hit or miss

Moto makes the best radios period


I tried 3 diff g3's... all had reception issues.. my og RAZR did not. Even with a broken screen

This RAZR HD has a killer radio!!! Great reception faster download speeds in 4g, 3g and wifi over my og RAZR


The g3 was OK phone


And what is this non sense about the g3 having a better screen..... umm NO!!!..maybe a little more room because no softkeys

I've had excellent 4G coverage here in CT, never had an issue getting good signal strength anywhere in the eastern half of the state.

Same here (also Connecticut). Great 4G signal, I even get 4G at work where friend's GS3 has trouble hanging onto 3G signal and has no hope of getting 4G. Razr M had 4G issues (no 4G at work, not even outside, lost 4G as soon as I'd enter a store where my maxx HD has 3bars in 4G.) I'm even happy with the camera, just wish the amoled screen's black levels were lower. They are not LCD bad, but definitely not as black as they are on Razr M or OG Galaxy S. But that's a problem with all HD amoleds even in Gnex and GS3.

Definitely keeping.
Love the GS3 hardware but can't get over how cheap Samsung phones feel in the hand. Plastic and glass will never compete with kevlar, aluminum, and official gorilla glass.

Camera is meaningless for me and the 2 photos a month I take besides this is already being revamped in 4.1.

Battery of course because I stream internet radio stations and this kills your battery faster than anything.

HATE the gs3's bloated overbearing UI. Closest to pure Android wins.

If Sammy would put in a monster maxx battery, put it's UI overlay on a major diet, and stop handing off the case design to Playskool they'd get a serious look from me but you have to admit that's a lot of "ifs". I totally support anyone buying a GS3 if it keeps them out of Apple's wallet sucking walled garden but it's not quite for me.
