I think it blows that sprint treats it current customers like step child's. I mean I've been with sprint for 11 years. And they say hey you can have the note 3 for 349.99 on an upgrade but the guy behind me print his number over gets a special $100 discount and gets it for 250. Gtfoh sprint. That blows

ROOTED as of last night

Flashed the De-Odexed, can't wait for the custom roms, themes, etc.

I removed the Sprint apps, looking into what Samsung apps I wont use/like to removed those too. Next on the list is delete all sounds I don't like such as boot-up, camera shutter, low battery. :D

Hmm what other advertisement did you guys use to use the price match with Best Buy? And if they do indeed match it does that mean we HAVE to get a new line and new phone number even if I have a upgrade?
I just took my phone in and showed them frys / Sams club / sprints site. The manager told the girl helping me to make sure the price shown was for upgrades.

Well let's just say the girl helping me was beautiful and I made it a point to smile, be nice, and make good conversation (flirt) and she didn't verify anything just matched the price.

I'll probably go back just to say hi

No new number. No new line. Upgraded my existing line.

I paid $350 at Best Buy because I didn't want to wait for Amazon or wirefly to get it in stock to save $50.

In terms of price matching at Best Buy I had a bad experience. The manager in the cell department told me that they only price match the price of the corporate stores. That's it. Won't match Amazon, Wirefly or other websites. He even showed me on his computer Best Buy's position on cellphone price matching.

To you guys who got the phone for $250 at Best Buy I envy you... big time.

Frys / Sam's club show it at $250, I had best buy price match that [kinda-- I just got a real friendly girl that helped me out too].

I too found out the hard way BB does NOT match online retailers [not to say some don't get lucky--BUT it does CLEARLY state it on their site].

So I talked to different stores, and I so happened to go to one a few cities away since the one in my town was lazy [the system was down and didn't to do it manually]. Luckily for me it worked out great! :D

Wouldn't it be worth going back and getting the price match retroactively for $100?

I added a fifth line to my SERO plan. They wouldn't give me $100 credit for porting a BOOST MOBILE number so I spent $10 on a Walmart Tracfone and port that number over. Corporate store had problem adding a 5th line to SERO without changing plan so I ended up calling it in. Now I got to wait on 2-5 days shipping.

so you bought the phone at 350, then realized you could price match, came back and did a price match after the fact? Or did you price match on the day and time you did the upgrade? Because I bought two note 3's October 4th and tried to price match today (about 6 days later) and was told no, you can only price match on the day of the fact.

Sorry I wasn't clear. By took my phone I meant my old E4GT (s2) and showed them on that. If you want the discounts try another person / manager in the store. If not then try another store. If all fails you can go the route of returning them within 14 days or threatening to unless they match the price.

Good luck.

Sams waives the activation fee and gives you 25 dollar credit for a few months? Seriously?

I paid $107 at sprint store in CLT, NC by porting my home phone to Sprint and turned in my old phone they gave me $47 credit towards the note 3. I saved $40 a month on my home phone plan.
