So many apps incompatible with 4.3... WTF.

Use Google currents and add Engadget under the science and tech section. I never used currents before, but its quite convenient once you get all your reading apps incorporated in to it.

Besides the engaged app is crap, slow and crashes all the time.

Out of 150 apps that I had or have played with only 1, MX Player, was incompatible.

Well worth it being without a few apps for awhile.

This is the price we pay for being the very first to get these updates. I don't mind it myself but for those that are bothered just wait for a free weeks before upgrading next time to give the app devs time to catch up.

Food anyone have the amazon store.apk? Not the app store but the app for the regular store. I think it will work but play store won't let me download.

All my favorite apps are compatible except Amazon and Need for Speed Most Wanted.

I too was disappointed that the Amazon app wasn't available. Fortunately, it's 100% compatible and is working great. I had to download the Amazon App store from their website in order to download the main shopping app.

If you want to install Need For Speed MW just edit your build prop to a Galaxy S4. It will also fix some other incompatible apps . Some might work, others wont like Mass Effect but it never hurts to try.

Model = GT-I9500

Brand= Samsung

name = ja3gxx

device = ja3g

Change those 4 things then reboot now go back to the market and check your apps again :D.

You can make a backup of your build prop or in Root Explorers case it will make a .bak for you.

Have fun.

Engadget is the only one that offered any issues for me. Took too long to load content.

I agree with the surprise on Currents, pretty slick. I've also used News 360 and Flipboard with good success but the Currents interface is quite responsive and very intuitive.

I don't install many apps, but only app I have problem with 4.3 is MLB at bat. I initially had an issue with MX Player but it was resolved quickly after the app update. MLB at bat itself works well including highlight video, but it fails to play live games. Speaking of MLB at bat, I noticed the highlight video quality seems low-res. It looks like playing SD video on HD TV. Is this a common issue of at Bat on Android tablet? On iPad the quality is much better.
