I just got my sprint bill and found out that the one up deal that was explained to me in the store was wrong and I am now paying about $51 per month more than I should or was told I would.

Background info....I had 4 lines on the family program and decided to use the one up, or whatever that program is called, to get the Note 3. I was prepared to pay cash for it but the store told me how good a deal it was to use the rental monthly fee upgrade programs since I get new phones all the time. They said that the cost of the new program was like $29 per month extra but I had to trade a phone to get into the program. I thought this was a reasonable deal.

After reviewing my bill in detail today I see they took one line out of my family plan which I was paying $19 for and $10 per month for data and now charged me $50 plus $30 for the data as well as the $29 per month rental.

So in the end I lost my $19 family plan line, traded in a phone that was working well, and now pay $51 per month for the new plan plus the rental on a phone.

Called Sprint today and they said they can't help via customer support that only the store can fix this.

I know this is going to be a nightmare.

Has anyone of you experienced this or know how to escalate a store issue?

What you just described is why I bought my phone. No one-up unless you're in one of their everything plans, which if you have multiple lines with a shared minutes + unlimited data plans adds about $100 per month to your bill. Your better off buying the dang phone.

Exactly. They never explained all that. I am so upset since I was going to buy the phone. What do you think they will do for me ?

My sprint store here advised me against doing the one up because I do have the family data plan, she said I'd be an idiot to switch to the one up, plus they wanted my EVO LTE, wasn't going to happen. Hopefully you can get it fixed.

I strongly suggest that you call customer service or corporate (if you get flak from customer support), and reverse your choice if you don't like the deal they gave you. Even if you up your contract on your old plan, breaking later (say in one year, which happens to be the one-up timeline) is cheaper than the increased monthly fee you're facing. Over two years you'd have added $2,400 to your bill (that's three new phones).

Everyone has a different measure of price/value. I'm on a shared minute with unlimited data plan.

For me, a full 2 year contract discounted price is a huge waste of money ($150 phone + 100 per month = $2550 = No thank you).

One-up plan for one year forcing me to move at least my master line to one of the two unlimited everything plans is also a waste of money (35 per month for 20 months + 60 extra per month for 20 months = $1200 additional expense).

I buy the phone, don't change plans, stay off contact, one-time hit of $700.

I buy my own insurance policy, get my phone serviced same-day locally for any needed repair = total control.

They told me in the store today that those with the family or shared plan can now get a phone on the rental program and just have to pay the rental

Is the shared plan to which you refer a legacy shared minutes (landlines, etc) + unlimited data plan? If yes that's outstanding news.
