There are other options that may also arrive to the market soon, but I chose and ordered the OP3 today primarily because it supports my needed LTE band here in the USA, which is T-Mobile Band 4 (1700/2100). The 1080P FHD 401dpi display is still great for this size device and the 3000mAh battery coupled with the newer more efficient SD820 SOC and DDR4 RAM should be fine for most users in this sub US$450 price category. Likewise, smaller/older 2A chargers will still work at juicing up the OP3; the included 4A wall adapter is just required if fast charging is desired.

Coming from N6 this basically looks like the perfect thing for me, I want something a lil smaller, the metal body is awesome, a stock rom with some mod style features polished allowing android pay, fingerprint reader's on the front, I like hardware buttons, front facing speakers I thought would be awesome til I realized anytime I wanted sound out loud I'm either home with bluetooth speakers or in public with headphones so meh, 64gb standard with ufs2.0 is awesome, the Dash charging thing sounds cool with the selling point being no excessive heat in the device w/ tradeoff of needing the included usb cable but I generally pair the original charging stuff together anyway. Oh also I don't use VR (at least not with a phone) so 1080p is basically a battery saver and fps booster for me.

My 2 reasons why I am NOT for OP3... as I still have fully working OP One...

- I really like the clear casing of OP3, but that camera bump is really really horrible :( :( :( Why, why, why???
- Also smaller battery? Why OP haven´t add that 1mm to hide camera in mobile body and why OP haven´t build-in bigger battery in that space? Why, why, why???

Not sure if the lack of microSD expansion will cause issues for me. Also, on the fence on buying this or the Huawei P9 Plus.... I will buy this if someone can help me with this dilemma haha.

I'm fed up of my S6 Edge and all it's bloatware. Looking for a more stock android experience - was going to wait for the new Nexus but I'm now very tempted by the OP3. Looking forward to following development and that will influence the final decision for me. Camera performance might also sway it, that's the one thing I do like about my Samsung...

I'm upgrading from my Nexus 5. That phone has served me well for the last two and a half years.

Ordered and waiting for it to ship now. :)

OnePlus 2. I would have liked more internal storage and/or microSD, but it's still compelling. ZTE Axon 7 seemed great, but I dislike the aesthetics, and it won't have the development.

I am like MKBHD, I prefer 2mm thicker and 3600 mAh battery. Coming from the Moto X play this is a downgrade for audio, microphone, camera, screen to body ratio, battery (only 4 hours SoT vs 5-6 hours on Moto X play). And it is much more expensive than the Moto X Play.

The only upgrade (CPU and GPU power+RAM) is not worth it for me, as I don't play games and I would miss all of the above.

I am more looking to upgrade to a Moto Z Force if it ever becomes available. I like Motorola more futuristic design and modular approach better. It will be more expensive but a truly worthwhile upgrade.
