Social Integration: Contacts

For anyone that has this phone, are you still able to link contacts to their Facebook and Twitter accounts? If so, has the loading time for displaying latest posts and pictures improved from the M7?

That will mostly depend on your Internet connection, not the phone itself...

Yes you can link to Facebook, Twitter, etc. Load times are of course variable but it attempts top load a fairly high res version. On my Wi-Fi or 4g load times have been under 2 seconds.
