Give up, no, but as far as I know it all should work more or less, and although I was a major driving force in making it work, in the end it was someone else who got it to work first with encryption. lol xD, but he was nice enough to let me post the link to his build in the OP. What's up? Why do you have to use a mouse (ill look at the previous threads, just got an email from xda haven't yet.)
Well, the first time I used it, it went haywire on me and I lost data... I didn't go near wipe.
Some of the buttons are inoperable with touch. But with the mouse they work fine.
Anyway, do I need disable DM Verity?

@CodyF86
Thanks for the effort with this I appreciate it.
Now if somebody could do this for the Galaxy tab s7 wifi.

As long as you have a pin code or pattern it should ask you to enter it when it boots and it will decrypt. If you did a factory reset in twrp it would format your userdata.

I'd have to look at the options but user data is your data. Boot, system and or super and vbmeta is basically the rest of it. Not a bad idea to just back all of it up once.

Boot (64MB)
DTBO (24MB)
SUPER (9312MB)
METADATA (0MB)
DATA (5928MB)
RECOVERY (64MB)
PERSIST (1MB)
BLUETOOTH (4MB)
DSP (32MB)
EFS (8MB)
FSG (24MB)
LOGO (32MB)
SUPER (9312MB)

As you can see no vbmeta. Super is there twice with the same size in MB.
So, should I do all of them for a full backup or like with a Samsung can I skip some?

I have no pin code just swipe.

Mount /system as RW?

Am I missing something, or is there no ability to mount system as RW? (XT2041-4, "test9")

Weird vbmeta shows up on mine, anyway yes if you want a full back up including partitions that if you lose you lose the ability to activate the phone then just take a full back up of all of them and just unselect the bottom super, then put that in a super safe place... Locally and in the cloud somewhere.

Thanks in advance for the people who decide to answer to my noobish questions and sorry for my bad English!

So to flash this, you'd first open a command window, check if ADB is working with "adb devices", and then use the command "adb reboot bootloader"

Once you're in Fastboot, you use the command "fastboot flash recovery C:\path\to\twrp.img" and reboot. that's all there is to it :)

and as for your second question, yes you can

Hi! Thankyou! One user from XDA said it needs following :
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.4.0-0-sofia-test9.img
fastboot flash recovery_a twrp-3.4.0-0-sofia-test9.img
fastboot flash recovery_b twrp-3.4.0-0-sofia-test9.img
fastboot reboot fastboot
Are you sure with this single command?
Thanks in advance!

I would hold off of flashing it, the touch is not working right.

Speaking of touch, is there any way to get this working right, can options be set in the build, or can we borrow the drivers from stock?

Hey thanks for posting this TWRP!
I just tested and... Unfortunately touch is not working right on the G power XT2041-4

Back to the drawing board.
try one of the other test builds here, the one i sent is for the g stylus specifically
come to think of it i should post it in the mgs forum
