I don't get the EMUI 8.1 still even though I've read lots of articles stating I should have got as one of the first phones it was sent to. I call Huawei and they saying it's cause there doing batches of 10000 phones a time and I should get it sometime before the end of the year. Which is proper shiiiite!!! And the chance of getting EMUI9 looks far away, unless I'm wondering the might just skip 8.1 go onto 9 but that's being optimistic. Also not had security update for months either. What can I do as feel Huawei are promoting there doing these updates in press but in reality it's not how it is... My mums even had the update on P20 lite she got her phone after the date Huawei stated in press they were rolling out to mate 10 pro yet she's ended up with and still nothing for mate 10 pro.

Anyone any ideas on dealing with Huawei other than just resigning myself to there just not to be believed and are really bad at rolling out updates. Like the phone but this has put my faith in Huawei in debate. It's like once they sold you the phone they can't be arsed to keep it updated properly or even to there own timetable. Think I'll consider oneplus next phone they seem have there act together.

And they stopped giving out unlock codes so I can't even custom ROM to get around it myself which I would have done for sure than wait for ever for bloody Huawei. Do you think it is worth me trying to get a unlock code from them on the basis there not updating my phone so the least thet can do is enable me to sort it out myself!!!?? Reckon worth trying or should I just suck it in and resign to fact huawei will send updates much much later than they promote like several months late. And if they don't improve never by a huawei phone again or recommend to friends family which I have done until now.

Sorry bit of a rant but these things piss me off as big tech firms think they can say and do what they like n tell you jog on and accept no responsibility or acceptable reason other than nothing they can do u get it when we can be arsed!!!

EMUI is good but the only thing that I really hate are the ****ty themes damn why are they so crap?? why cant it be like Samsung themes that changes everything and not only the home screen icons and the wallpaper. huawei really needs to improve their theme engine and theme store cuz they suck ass.
