Software Update NB4

Just made sure the phone had USB Debugging on and put it in MTP mode when plugged into USB. Other than that I just let Kingo do its thing. It did reboot one time during the root process but was re-detected by Kingo after restarting and the process continued. Also got the warning about mtkCamera being potentially unsafe during part of the process but told it to goahead anyway. Using Kingo 1.2.0
I keep getting a message popping up on my phone saying "An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system in your device..."

Samsung needs to pull an Apple and not allow any carriers to add junk to their phones, thats one thing I respect about Apple.

THAT, and he fact Apple has descriptions with their updates letting you know exactly what you're downloading b4 you do it.

So far that is one thing that I truly HATE about Android and it's apps. No descriptions with the updates.!!!

I have my device running smoothly right now, and refuse to blindly download stuff to MY device without knowing exactly what's up -

Click Play Store, settings, then undo auto update, undo auto home screen widgets.

This is a good sign. We will probably see kitkat within a week or two. Usually AT&t releases a small update like this before sending the big one. Keeping my fingers crossed. Lol

Oh look! It installed Google drive onto system. ;)

The power button lockscreen lag I used to experience seems to be gone.

I found two things that seemed to be fixed because of NB4.

1) Battery drain due to diagnostics.client.Wakelock seems to be fixed.

2) Free tethering via HotSpot Toggle Widget does not work any more. :(

I had been complaining about rapid battery drain right after I placed a phone call. I hope this is a good sign.

-----

This may be a coincidence. today after I rooted my NB4, I was able to get HotSpot Widget to turn on tethering. I had also disabled Knox.
