Thank you for this, but it hasn't fixed what I had wanted it to. For some reason my WiFi is still not working :/ It just keeps saying "Obtaining IP address..." Any thoughts on how I can fix this???

do wipe dalvik+cache from recovery

I've tried this many time but that does not work. Do you know where I can find the boot.img that has ro.secure=1? I flashed the boot.img that has ro.secure=0 so I could flash custom kernels but now I believe this is linked with the WiFi issues I am having on the stock ics rom...

go to the sytem->etc->build.prop file
search there for that line
probably it is there
if it is there change it with any file manager with root permissions

also did you try the wifix manager?

Unfortunately none of those methods work. Wifix manager just keeps saying error when i try to install it. I can download and install it off of google play but i can't install it through the app.

extract the boot.img from the stock rom and flash it via fastboot
do a nadroid first just in case

That sounds like the perfect solution but I just decided to flash the ROM ViperS v3.1.1 onto my phone and now the WiFi works perfectly. The only reason I didn't do this earlier is because I had trouble tranferring the zip file to my SD card but eventually I did and everything is now fine. Thanks anyway though, I learned a lot from this thread :good:

I have htc sensation, unlocked and s off.. h boot is 1.27.1111 and radio is 11-24A-3504.31_M. When i install inspiration rom everything works well but when i install viper 3.1.2 or revelation 1.0.2 ive got allways noise in in call sound that dissapear when vol up or vol down is pressed. Ive got information that new radio would fix it. So what radio should i chose?

It's my second sensation I did a change with my old x10 mini, but it has a reboot bucle i tried everything flash ruu (because with this, relocking bootloader and s-on fixed a reboot bucle on my first sensation), new hboot, everything and in the technical service they said me it's a problem with the kernel, i tried with diferent kernels and nothing help me i love this phone T-T

place a custom rom in your sdcard
boot to the recovery(cwm or 4ext,whatever you have)
full wipe
flash the rom and reboot

if you still have bootloops flash the boot.img of the rom via fastboot command

note:after flashing a custom rom the initial boot takes a while so wait for a little

well, it doesn't work i have strange reboots, when i have sense's roms it reboot ramdomly, but when i have cm's roms it reboot only when it isn't in use and the screen off, i flashed sultan kernel but nothing, reboots continues .
I think it's a software problem, and my cuestion is the next: can i do a low level format? or a zeroing partitions? like a pc? it maybe solve my issue
