[SOLVED] 80070013 error while updating to 7740

I have finally fixed the problem with both of the phones I have. What it is must be a bad flash from the factory. Thanks to Football I have successfully flashed the following rom and am now running 8107 on my ATT Titan. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334468
It is on page 4 that says Cingular in the name.
Just be sure to follow all the instructions in thus thread. I do have the unfortunate news that you will loose any text messages and game saves, but you will be able to update further in the future.

Here's some info shown in my About screen:

Firmware revision number: 1600.2200.20201.708
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 16.23.03.17_ 16.27.00.23U
Radio hardware version: 2.122.0.D4
Bootloader version: 2.2.160015.3(134181)
Chip SOC version: 1.6.0.0

I've talked to some users of Hong Kong Titans who have successfully updated their Titans to 8107, their bootloader is 134621 instead of 134181.

Some users also reported that their Titans manufactured on December 8th or December 9th have the newer bootloader and is able to update to 8107. My Titan is manufactured on December 7th.

Is there a way to extract only the newer bootloader from a ROM and apply it to my Titan?

I had same error. I went ahead with installing language packs. After the reboot, I had these in the 'about'

Firmware revision number - 1600.2200.20104.401
Hardware revision number - 0002
Radio software version - 16.23.03.17_16.27.00.23U

Bootloader version - 2.1.160015.3(133962)

Should I be worried?
Who can tell if the update went well or not? Nothing wrong as far as working phone goes.

You have 8107 installed, you shouldn't have to worry until the next update comes out, everything will be answered by then

Chinese UI on ATT htc titan?

HTC is selling titan in China now. Is there any way I can have a Chinese UI on my htc titan (ATT)? I am thinking giving it to someone and buy a new lumia 900.
