How do I disable the search box but keep the voice search feature of google now? What autostart services should I disable?

It is on the list of partial wakelocks in betterbattery stats. The quick search box is part of the launcher. Turn it off in launcher settings. Not sure why you think that would be causing wake locks though. Its basically just a widget

I don't see it on the list of apps to be hibernated. If you are on 4.x you can use Greenify to do what you want. It will put apps into hibernation but still allow you to use them from the icons or widgets. It will also indicate which applications are at fault.
Well, of course if the wake lock is caused by a system service, then it's probably not safe to greenify it. But there is still a way, and it is mentioned in the faq in post #2.I don't see it on the list of apps to be hibernated.
I see com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox on the list of partial wakelocks, 2 hrs and 9 mins of wakelocks. I used to get 0 drain in 8 hrs and now I get about 1% per hour on idle due to this. I read somewhere that there is a way to disable googlequicksearchbox from autostarting but still keeping the voice search active.Well, of course if the wake lock is caused by a system service, then it's probably not safe to greenify it. Before doing that though, you should greenify everything that the greenify app suggests is running frequently, and then watch what happens with the wake locks in bbs.
I don't know what it is. I've never heard or seen anything about that.I see com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox on the list of partial wakelocks, 2 hrs and 9 mins of wakelocks. I don't want to disable all of google now, just the quicksearchbox.use uninstall master and put it in recycle bin if you just wanna disable it
it s googlesearchwidget.apkI don't want to disable all of google now, just the quicksearchbox.
Cuz I didn't know it was a widget causing this wakelock. Thanks for letting me know. What I'm still confused about is why you don't just turn off the widget.

I would like to warm this thread up a little: I have the same wake locks like stated in op but I don't have any Google widgets on my home screen, only clock and icons.I see com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox on the list of partial wakelocks, 2 hrs and 9 mins of wakelocks. I have a xiaomi redmi note 4 with latest miui 8 stable
Any suggestions?
How do you know it is an Audio Wakelock?Hi there!
I used this guide: https://www.xda-developers.com/stop-wakelocks-android-without-root/ for trying to stop the wakelock... not sure it worked yet, because I only did it a few minutes ago...
Edit: Its an AudioIn Wakelock - so obviously Google Voive hotword detection... Turning that off (at least on the lockscreen) should help...
