SOLVED for some HUAWEI Y6 types : How to root this device ?

Dude, I have SCL-U31C185B140, then why am I unable tO roOt?

Dude, look for the thread title, will you.
SOME members succeeded to root their device.
Reason unknown why some users with the same type are UN-rootable.

I just rooted my phone yesterday Huawei y6 scl-u31 with kingroot 4.8 . try it if not works you should unlock bootloader

Hi, can you share your full scl-u31 type number ?
I think there are, as my type, different firmware versions, depending possible region etc...do not know.
Perhaps this could be the reason why some phone can be rooted and others not.
i will add all working buildnumbers in thread title.

I unlocked bootloader with Huawei code then I tried to root my phone with all root apps but no success until kingroot 4.8 released then I tried it and it's work perfectly

Root Success SCL U31

I tried to root Huawei Scl-u31, B140 many times but no success.
Then I removed SIM cards and turned ON wifi and then I tried with kingroot 4.8.
It rooted my phone.

Try to remove SIM cards on Turn on AirPlane Mode, I am sure, you will succeed.

I think, the reason of root failure for some huawei scl-u is the carrier. If we turn off sim cards then it maybe rooted easily.
I have unlocked bootloader.

I think so indeed the Carrier dropout could be an important reason.
Wifi is always neccessary for rooting with Kingroot so the app can 'update' while running for root.

Thanks for sharing but as far as i know the only version which partialy were rootable are the 1gb/8gb (single or dual sim).
The 2gb version had never success as far as i know...

Hello there

I really need help guys with rooting this phone cause its a week now tried every thing you can found on google
of course kingroot and those apps dont work with this mob HUAWEI Y6 scc-u21

At the end i managed to unlock and flash CWM recovery that originally for Honor 4A
then i tried to flash Honor 4A root Package and after flash successfully on the recovery nothing happened in the phone at all
then i reached flashing supersu zip for cwm and flashed any root zip file can be found but when i open the phone
i found the superuser app installed bit when i check root device not rooted probably when i enter superuser app "binary not installed and superuser cant install it" or "binary outdate and when i update it i go to binary not installed again"

Please if there any way i can try to flash it i cant wait till kingroot be able to root it .... and i also found that it can root other versions or builds of huwawwi y6

Just to tell you guys I successfully rooted it.

It takes so much time and I prefer to buy some rootable if I can travel back to one week ago.

Hint: I did not use KingRoot. The KingRoot Engineer abandon us, so I did it with something else.

i tried this before on sccu21 sadly it brick but ill try again
