Do SCC-U21 has two sim card? How did you flash your rom? I use the "sideload" method. it's ok.

Yea it have 2 sim and btw i just rooted it and i think this method will work with any y6 cant be rooted till now
because in general i changed my model and build number to rootable model with supersu and kingroot
and the google apps working fine too ..
all u need is the 4a chines cwm recovery because its the only recovery you can use then a chiness .zip rom for any honor 4A models i tried many and all can be rooted of course you have to flash gapps exactly after you flash the rom or you wont be
able to use gapps later

Those screenshots from my y6 SCC-U21 the rom was already rooted but u can remove this su and use kingroot if you want, and as u can working google play store...

OKay the cwm recovery 6.05 in the attachments now easy to use just flash it after you unlock your phone
through fastboot power buuton + -vol =fastboot power button+ +vol= recvery

now download a rooted .zip rom for honor 4a there are many i used this one 荣耀4A全网通_EMUI3.1_5.1_C00B220.zip
its 800MB then download a mini package of gapps for android 5.1 now copy both to sd card as usuall

then go to the chines recovery and choose the one with cach word then the option above it to clear your phone
now go to the option with .zip 1st option and choose 2nd option then choose the rom after finished chose the gapps never
open the phone before flashing the gapps then go back and clear cach again then reboot
now you have a chines rom that already rooted you can remove the root and use king root if you want

in the start when u choosing language dont accept any allow location ask except for google products then add link2sd
and remove all chines apps all of them

that will work and tell me guys if u needed any help

oh last thing allow all gapps service as a trusted and open in start up apps from setting

I have Huawei Y6 build nO. SCL-U31C185B140, I've roOted it..
What I did is I went tO KingrOot's faceboOk page, clicked On Use App, it redirected me tO dOwnlOad link On brOwser.. VersiOn was 4.6.2 sOmething.. I installed and tried tO roOt, but rOot failed.. I didn't request research!
Just DONT Request Research as then yOu wOuld nOt be shOwn rOot again buttOn.. I quitted the app and tried again.. Didn't wOrk..
Then, I turned my phOne On Airplane mOde and Turned On the wifi and tried One last time tO roOt and
BINGO! ROoted Successfully!
I'm nOw tOooooOo Happy..
I was trying fOr the last 2 mOnths and finally I've dOne it..
After rOot, I DOwnlOaded the latest versiOn Of KingrOot i.e 4.8.0 and installed it.. Simple..
Hit like if it helps yOu tOo..

yea never worked for me scc-u21 dual 2gb ram this method could be only possible for 1gb ram y6

Heyy, this was exactly happening with me tOo but just fOllOw the prOcedure I said in my last message, may be it wOuld be helpful..
GO tO fb page Of KingrOot and Click Use App.. It will redirect yOu tO a dOwnlOad link Of KingrOot VersiOn 4.6.2, just install it and click Try tO rOot.. If it says "RoOt Failed, Request fOr research",
JUST DONT CLICK ON REQUEST RESEARCH!
ClOse the app and Set yOu phOne On Airplane mOde, turn On the wifi and try Once Or twice, it wOuld surely wOrk..

Thanks for the update.
Some devices work with Kingroot others don't.
Like mentioned above and said earlier, after run KR for the first time with no succes. Close app, put phone in AirplaneMode, wifi on, and try again.
I rooted my phone SCL-L01 also with a coule of tries. Tried different versions. Just the 4.5.2 was succesfull.
For other members different versions may help.
But as said, do try the "airplane" trick

i tried your method again i dont know why its impossible for my scc-u21 to be rooted with his stock rom wt ever i tried
so i instaled the chines rom again for y6 4A its rooted with xposed installed and can be rooted by king root also i think it does the trick till
sme one find a way to root the stock rom for scc-u21 2gb ram
and for those who use flashing the chines method gapps work perfectly just get the mini ver from here opengapps.org and flash it after
flashing your chines rom go inside let it update and done
i will try the stock rom again once they update kingroot
and thanks for the info btw is this method worked before on 2gb ram y6 ?
is any one havey6 2gb ram this method worked with him if so wt exactly the steps thanks

Just to tell you guys I successfully rooted it.

It takes so much time and I prefer to buy some rootable if I can travel back to one week ago.

Hint: I did not use KingRoot. The KingRoot Engineer abandon us, so I did it with something else.

i had stock scc-u21
unlock boot loader via adb oem unlock using huawei unlock code and root it with KR latest version. works fine with me.
- y6 4a Chinese roms are already rooted (probably a rooted backup roms).

No i cannot, all i can use is fastboot. Normal adb is not working of course, mention that a few times. ADB is activated only after boot sequence.

Hi all,
I lost some (!) time trying to root my Y6 SCL-L21 (Dual SIM, 2GB RAM).
- the kingroot crapware doesn't work.
- installed SuperSU using both (chinese) CWM and TWRP recovery but has a strange behaviour and the su freezes.
- installed Superuser, no way.

At least found the original rom, usefull if you brick something

Anybody have any luck with getting either of the two TWRP versions (for the L02 and L21) to work properly with the SCL-L01 ?

Neither of them will see my SD card correctly. Both reporting it as 0 bytes available and cannot browse/use it.

Just a word of warning:-

No matter what version of Kingroot you use to root the SCL-L01 and you then try to change it to SuperSU by utilising any version of Super SUme, you will, more than likely end up "bricking" your phone.
The only way to restore is by flashing the full ROM, a factory reset from the recovery screen will NOT do it.

Why change it?
I'll tell you why, because nobody seems to know what
all the data being sent from Kingroot app is all about.
At least SuperSU stays quite when it has data access.

Maybe we are just being paranoid about these Chinese
Apps.

I think you've hit the nail. All apps collect data even SuperSU. Kingroot will even do so. If nothing severe happens with this 'collecting' it doesn't bother me at all. Ps: do a random check of different apps on Playstore... How many of them are chinese? Right, there we are

OK, folks what I'm thinking of doing is this, I may have access to finding the boot loader unlock code for this phone.
So I want to find out, are there many people who want this, free of course, and if there are enough, I may over the
next few weeks or so, for an hour a day, offer this service. This depends on how many people actually want the
unlock code. Remember this is just a trial, at me being nice. but hopefully it will work out.
Let me know what you think.

PS:Just to add this will only happen when I am online so there is no stacking of requests for the code. In other words if you happen to be online when I am, and request the code then well and good. Remember you will have to supply me with all the pertinent information for your phone.
