Question [SOLVED] Going into recovery mode issue

Hi. I have a Galaxy A12 that Im trying to get into recovery mode so I can reset it. I cant remember the pattern. I have tried two methods but both have failed, each time, where you would normally see the Android person and it boot into recovery, it just beeps and boots normally.

I have tried putting a pin locked SIM into the phone, powering it off. Holding Vol Up and Power until you see the Samsung logo. Then letting go of Power and holding Vol Up. Doesnt work just get the beep.

I have also held Vol Down, held Power and restarted the phone then switched to the Vol Up key.

Both times I just get a beep and it boots into normal OS.

Anyone come across this and know how to get the A12 into recovery mode so I can factory reset it.
