[Solved] Google Maps 6.10.0 causing phone restarts

Hi All,

after today's update of Google Maps to version 6.10.0 I'm facing lot of restarts when using of this great and essential application. Also found that other people has the same and all has been using it on HTC Sensation.

Any solution already found ?

I'm using ARHD Rom and caused a LOT of problems and restarts when I REALLY needed it today!!!!

Nightmare it was!!!!

Restart after restart.

Uninstalled, not one restart since.

I think i found out the problem, i got a ram widget that displays it on the top bar and it jumps after a while of using the new maps app and then it resets, I hope they bring a new update out soon, Im going on holiday on Saturday and wana use the gps D:

Having problems here too. Seems to be specifically related to Latitude on mine.
BTW I'm a Rezound user, not Sensation. I found this thread while searching for "Maps 6.10 update causing problems"

I ran Virtuous Inquisition and the new maps version crashed when I switched within maps to the statistics where I have been in the last couple of days.

I then switched to Open Sensation and maps works like charm.

I can also confirm the problem. ARHD T-Mobile latest rom and the phone always restarts whenever the map is on.

Using stock ICS 4.0.3 Sensation 4G.

I've been trying to find somewhere to file a bug report, but my googlin' skills are failing me, only getting stuff related to content. Any ideas?

HTC Sensation Elegancia Mod

I'm running the elegancia mod of htc sensation and yesterday I updated to the latest google maps app (6.10) because I wanted to use it on a trip this weekend. And after planning a route it restarted my device.

I updated from the 2.5 mod of elegancia to 2.7 to see if that was the cause, but neither helped. Good thing that android let me downgrade to 6.9 again. This one works like a charm (for now).

I have elegancia 2.7, too.
But I dont have any issues With Google Maps, Latitude, Navigation etc. After update.

HTC Sensation, Vanilla T Mobile UK ICS, Restarts the phone after about a minute of being open. Uninstalled updates and installed a Maps 6.9.0 apk I found online and all is welll again. For some reason they seem to have removed the Latitude widget too, I used that quite a bit.
