"Unfortunately, Nfc Service has stopped"... a lot of people are seeing this when they unbox. Spent a lot of time today learning. So here goes the fix I used to get everything working.

Step 1: (And this is a big step) Install and follow the guide found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475

Step 2: Click the button "Flash Stock + Unroot". Wugfresh's AMAZING dev skills and outright dandy program will take care of the rest.

Tips: Your model is most likely the JRN84D version.

If this helps one person from having to RMA their Nexus 7, I'm happy.

Friend suggested going this route earlier today and so far so good!

I'm still RMA'ing just incase, but it seems like it was simply a bad flash from the factory....
