Hey Dave.... Just go to service centre and tell them that phone isn't switching onn. Tell them you were updating and battery was low so they will take just 15 mins and flash new ROM for you.......
Please.see.......they will ask for 1-2$ as they will have to open and check for hardware problem but just tell them it's software and they won't charge you!

that's great bro, but do not be afraid to root it again
because you learn from your mistakes
i once hardbricked my Mi3 and i brought it back to life by using sim connector's method
flashing custom roms since 2012 and trust me it is fun
you just need to follow the steps carefully

Yep rightly said. I also bricked my galaxy s2 in older days but now I don't even think before trying something new. That incident taught me that almost every thing can be reverted back if you keep your eyes and mind open

I tried to flash mi 5x rom on A1 and it is in hard brick ... what to do now?

@sooti nothing is shown in ports.... but i m not using an edl cable to connect i guess i need edl cable for 9008
even my phone shows led light and vibration when connected!
so i m going to service center tomorrow
