[SOLVED]Help me to disable proximity sensor

My phone is faulty, but everything works except proximity sensor, which makes my devise unusable after i end a call. I really need a way to disable the proximity sensor.
Im using cm7 rom.


Please help me out to make my phone usable again!

I put this in the build.prop to completely disable it, but it doesnt work

gsm.proximity.enable=false

Can anyone tell me where is the Proximity sensor driver??
I want to remove it.

I dont have this setting.
Im on CM7.1 official.
Is this setting available in nightly builds?

Oh, maybe it's not in the official builds because it's just for the Defy.

It is in Quarx's CM7.1.0-11 Stable (11.11.11)

What does this option do exactly?
I m having a hardware problem, and i think only if disable the sensor will do for me.

It says it forces the screen to turn back on after a call ends, but I haven't tried it - I just saw it in the settings when I was looking for something else

I just flash the cm72-111125.0850-NIGHTLY-Defy.zip and I try the setting

Settings > Display > In-accurate proximity

and did the job!

Hi, I had the same issue and tryed all the tricks around without success, until I read your post, flashed the 7.2 (actual quarkx), checked the option, and it is fixed indeed. Huge thanks!
