Actually, yes. I have an update but I was waiting for 'closure' to post the whole story.

Unfortunately, nothing that I did managed to make it boot. I was tallying my options at that point and since Google wouldn't take it for a warranty repair, I decided to reach out to one of their contractors, that they had listed on their support page - Comspot Repair Germany.
It was a long shot, but it said that the pixel 6 and onwards can be warranty serviced, I wrote an email and to my surprise they said they'd take it in.
I sent it back in late November, but they said they are having part shortage problems from Google's side and it still isn't really repaired. So far, so good tho, with the exception of the time it's taking.

Tldr, if you live in a country in the EU (they were really adamant about that), and have a pixel 6, or later, in warranty, it looks like Comspot Repair might be worth considering.

I will update the original post with more details when I actually get the thing back. Until then, I know it's not what you expected to read but I hope it helps you at least a little.
Any updates on this issue? Any luck getting it to boot? If so, what worked? I'm having the same exact issue.

Curious what the issue was, if the repair company can tell you. Storage chip gone bad, maybe? Short of hardware failure it seems like the whole A/B slot thing is built around preventing problems like this.
I'd ask but I imagine they may not know either, since the procedure is to replace the whole motherboard, hence the part shortage thing.

So, possibly a final update on the issue. I managed to get the phone serviced under warranty, despite living in a country here Google themselves refuse to provide service. I updated the OP with more details about the hole thing, I think i'll leave it at that, unless any questions are asked.
Thanks for all of the suggestions and help. I wasn't told what caused the issue in the end.

I have run into this issue as well after the Magisk Canary 25206>25207>25208 disaster where I also forgot to unhide 25206 first. Rootchecker reported root is not properly installed. So I followed https://www.droidwin.com/fix-root-is-not-properly-installed-missing-magisk-root/ to try to flash to both a and b. Now both slot has boot failure. I guess I am going to re-flash everything and wipe the phone. This is so unfortunate on the cusp of March update release. Spent 20hrs + on this whole Android journey. I wish I wasn't tempted away from iOS...

Have you tried the pixel repair tool yet (or the android flash tool)? If your phone can go to rescue mode, it's definitely worth the shot.
Other than that I'm assuming your bootloader is unlocked, so you should be able to manually reflash it if it comes to that. For your sake, let's hope your issue is not the same as mine.

I can't go into rescue mode and got stuck with boot failure for both slot a and b. I just used android flash tool to redo everything, but i continue to find 25208 unable to hide itself.

No.
Sounds like an issue with Magisk, which wouldn't be unexpected on the canary branch.
Did you manage to recover to a bootable system?
No. Not smart enough. I am back to the old 25206 Canary. At this point, everything works fine, except root checker is again saying root access is not installed on this device... May be due to slot a vs slot b issue.

I have the same issue too on my 6a, only difference is that I am not rooted, and on stock everything, I managed to get the phone to power off completely by holding power and volume down till the screen went dark, now showing flat battery icon when trying to power on, and when plugged in its showing that its charging. Will update if this may be the fix.

EDIT: nope, not at all.

If you mean the same situation as described originally, then your best bet is probably the pixel recovery tool.
Failing that, the only option left is to send it back to Google. I have not managed to find anyone that has had this happen and then have their phone recover, unfortunately. I'm thinking it might be a hardware issue since the procedure at the repair center is to replace the entire motherboard.
If you can, send it back to google directly. If you can't, but live in an EU country, take a look at the OP for more details.

yep, it's the right one.
I sent them an email before and they do spea english so it's fine. I was told to just start a ne repair through their site so I used google translate to get around. It does the job.

Okay, so it's been a while and the saga is finally over. I'll try to summarize the whole story but if anyone is reading this with the same issue, the TLDR is that I had it replaced/serviced under warranty by Comspot Repair Germany. I'll leave the OP for archival purposes.
After seemingly exhausting all my options, in the end i decided to reach out to one of Google's authorized service partners. I wrote to Comspot Repair Germany and to my surprise they said they would take a look at it. I sent it back in November 2022, they had it for about a month and some, because of apparent part shortages on Google's side. I just received it today (January 2023), however the delay seems to have been mostly caused by the delivery company getting my address wrong. Apparently they replaced the whole board, the screen and battery too, as well as the sim tray which i find kind of funny. It works as it should now and the repair itself cost me nothing, I just paid for shipping to Germany.

Overall experience dealing with Comspot is a strong 4/5. They were able to fix my issue, unlike Google which I really shouldn't have to say, but I'd take one point off for communication management. And for anyone else that has a pixel 6 or later, and lives within an EU country, I'd suggest looking Comspot up and giving them a shot.

---- original post bellow ----

Hi,
I have a pixel 6 and it's stuck in fastboot mode. Does not boot, or go into any other mode than fastboot. Adb doesn't recognize it, only fastboot does but I can't flash it since it appears that the bootloader is locked. Bootloader menu lists the following:

Product version: oriole MP1.0 Bootloader version: slider-1.2-8318357 --- Secure boot: PRODUCTION NOS production: error! --- Device state: error! Boot slot: b Enter reason: boot failure URAT: disabled

So far, I've tried the pixel recovery tool and flashing OTA/full images but to no avail.

Any chance it may be fixable or it's bricked forever?
Does anyone know what causes this state?p
Finally yesterday fixed the problem....

Sorry to hear that. Hope you're able to find support. You could still try taking it to a repair facility, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to get a new main board but I've been wrong before too, so...
Problem is, since Google doesn't officially sell pixel phones where I live, they also don't have any service centers and they don't sell parts either. Which sucks, I don't see why this artificial limitation has to exist, since Google has a mail in repair program and service centers across several EU countries.
Their excuse is that they can't ship it back to you because their shipping partners don't work anywhere outside the countries where they sell pixels.

This only helps when the user is able to enter Rescue Mode from bootloader. If the bootloader doesn't start, Rescue Mode is of no help.

Yes, thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it doesn't work because it doesn't want to go into rescue mode. :\

That would suck a lot, because I'm in a country that's not on Google's good list, had to import the phone here. I'm pretty sure they'll not handle it gracefully but I guess we'll see.
Well, that went about as good as expected.
After a lot of troubleshooting with the support agent, they suggested I could RMA it, I told them I'm not in a country where they have repair services and they politely told me to fu*k off basically.
So I'm stuck with a bricked phone that i can't have serviced unless 'i have a friend who can send it for me, from a supported county'
