Hello everyone!
I tried to update my phone from the official lineageos 14.1 to version 15.1 using TWRP As the installation instructions tell I wiped cache, system and data and flashed the new version without any installation problems. But after rebooting the phone I end up in a bootloop. Afterwards logcat only says "/sbin/sh: exec: line 1: logcat: not found" so there is nothing to find in the log file.
System details:
Phone: HTC One A9 European version (aka hiaeuhl)
TWRP Version 3.2.1.0
Latest installed lineageos: lineage-14.1-20180510-nightly-hiaeuhl-signed.zip (I also tried with older versions)
Version that should be installed: lineage-15.1-20180606-nightly-hiae-signed.zip (I also tried with the previous builds)
I assume hiae should be right? There no longe seems to be a difference between hiaeul and hiaeuhl versions.
I don't thing that the new versions are broken since they are official builds, but what am I doing wrong?
I also tried the flashing of LOS 15.1 coming from the latest stock firmware 2.17.401.2 (Android 7.0) with the same result...
kernel version: 3.10.84-perf-g42015ab
baseband version: [email protected]_60.00._F
(both from currently installed stock rom 2.17.401.2)
Should it be necessary to downgrade stock rom as it used to be? I think it wouldn't make any sense to go from Android 7 to 6 and then to version 8.
