[SOLVED] miui-us 1.6.3 & cm7 bad network reception

Anyone having trouble receiving phone network with cm7 or miui?

Mine is saying "emergency calls only" from time to time, which wasn't the case on earlier roms I used.

Maybe a stupid question, but have you choosen the right band with defy band switcher on CM7?

If i don't do it i get the same as you...

I'm using Miui on the moment,
any idea how to switch band on that one?

when I look at battery usage, cell standby is the most power consuming thing.
looks like it's network searching all the time.

I should be on 900 or 1800 band

Thanks.. that was the problem. band was US while it should have been Europe
Having good reception now.
