UPDATE: After letting it charged for 2.5 hours now it's able to turn on. Contacted asus they say i need to charge it at least 8 hours for the first time use to "condition the battery" even if it's fully charged (which it is right now, is that charging time too fast or normal?) . So i'll wait 6 more hours before using it. Thanks guys for helping me. If no one said anything i would've been worried and nervous lol

Just got mine faster than expected.
After unbox i tried 3 times to power it on, but it did not
Then i plugged it to charge, it showed on the screen the battery icon charging and then turn off the screen, now looks like it's charging, the light on the power button show red/orange
BUT THE THING IS: right now it's charging and when i try to power it on it won't turn on, and the light flashes/blinks while i'm holding the power button. Isn't that weird? It's plugged it should have power to turn on
Did i get a decfective product? Please help. Thanks

Just needs to charge. Mine works fine, but won't turn on at all if the battery is dead, will only give me the battery icon until it charges a bit.

Thank you guys. I was so excited and just wanted to turn it on to see what android ics looks like but i gotta wait.

EDIT: when can i turn it on? Do i have to leave it on charge for 8 hours like the manual says. I guess while waiting i can play some games on my brother's ipad

Ok, but in the case that its not a new device, and no need for battery conditioning... will this still solve the problem? All symptoms fit... Orange blinking light, battery logo only, no hard reset response... ?
