It's the voice of a Higher Being telling you that Knox is poison for your device.

Stay away from it. I have spent over 10 hours trying to correct this Knox install with Xpose installed. Nothing but a FC bootloop for 2 hours. TiBu PRO will not restore either. The Knox that was originally installed keeps blocking the system restore. Finally was able to wipe from recovery and then install TiBu PRO and freeze all 3 Knox apks. That took care of the bootloop problem when trying to restore. However, it seems that the original Knox corrupted the backup as it was backing up and now I am spending countless hours installing my apps from Play one at a time and recreating all of the data again.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT INSTALL THIS KNOX APK UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED IT!!!

Before I get flamed for ignoring the above warnings...I did this install before anyone posted any warnings. Knox is not worth the trouble I am going through right now. Consider yourself warned.

What he said. Also, Knox and Root will not work. Either Knox without root or just freeze that sucker.

Just in case anyone asks,

I have the official 4.4.2 NC2 Kit Kat (100% stock and unrooted) and just installed the KNOX sub apk, and it is working perfectly. So far no issues. I am now a manager at my work and needed an extra level of security, plus I want to keep my work stuff separate from my personal stuff, Knox works perfectly.

It did not wipe anything or crash, but I recommend for anyone going to install this to do a full internal and external sdcard backup, you never know (knock on wood). Also if for some reason you get stuck in know and cannot get out no matter what (and cannot uninstall the knox app) as this happened on my wife's S4; reboot into safe mode. It will disable all non-system apps. This will let you backup your internal sdcard, just incase you need to do a factory reset.

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Power/Lock key and volume key to turn the phone one.
  3. Once the device turns on, let of of the power button, but keep holding the volume down button
  4. Keep holding the Volume down key until the lock screen displays and says "Safe Mode" in the bottom left corner.

Reboot the phone and you should be able to be back to normal.

Two Years Too Late?

Just curious, I saw the knox app om all international and Tmobile versions but I cant find it on my att version. BY Knox I mean the secure profile switcher.

Update 1 :
Koars215 received a correspondence from Samsung:

"after days on days of speaking with att and samsung... corporate finally spilled the beans lol this is coming from samsung mouth the agent told me that att push the device for purchased and did not look over the software in full before putting it on the shelf. They said the reason we can see the knox app in the installation manager is because by default it should be. Also its something that cant be found on its samsung app market place.

END RESULT: Samsung said within the next 1-2 weeks it will push a software update for At&t and t-mobile(i had no clue t-mobile was having the same issue)"

Update 2:
Get the knoxstub.apk from note 3 international and placed it in system after being rooted and now knox is working perfect. Tnx to cburnett

Update 3:
Knoxstub is attached. Tested and it works :good: Tnx to cburnett for the file.

Just open the apk and install normally and let it do its thing.
After the Android Kitkat 4.4.4 Update happened, I also had the same issue. NO KNOX CONTAINER/APP. They swore to bring it back in Lollipop, and they didn't. NOT ONLY do I NOT HAVE KNOX, I also don't have a functioning phone anymore. Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900V (Verizon) on 5.0 is just a battery draining, data stealing, freezing/overheating brick now. Had to resort to an older phone (5 year old) in order to have a device to text with for more than 3 hours. It's that horrible. And what do they say? Just like Comcast it's ALWAYS "We're so sorry! It's Verizon's fault/Samsung's fault" depending on which side of the circle jerk you're talking to. They also promised me (they being Verizon Agents) several times that they're working on a resolution. I shouldn't have to root my device in order to regain a function I previously had before they ****ed all this up. But if I choose to root my phone in order to restore Knox function, would this APK also function on the Broke Ass Verizon Version?

Anyone else having MAJOR issues on the Galaxy Note 3 on 5.0?

Christopher Alan.
