Sprint Note 3 (SM-N900P) constant loop triggered by adb reboot nvbackup command

PMing you now. I appreciate your help in fixing this issue
The those that want to overwrite their FSG on note-3 Qualcomm models.
Use at your own risk, if you didn't send toxic command "root nvbackup" this will not help.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/im2nw249v0gv3ja/mmcblk0p18.zip?dl=0

If this helps, or not, please post your results to help others.

I replaced the files using TWRP and was still stuck in bootloop.
Using TWRP I wiped and formatted System, Data, Dalvik, Cache, Internal Memory
I replaced the following with copies from a working SM-N900P, same model as the one I'm working on.
efs -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p11
modemst1 -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p12
modemst2 -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p13
backup -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p17
fsg -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p18
I reboot into Download mode. In Odin 3.10.7(have tried a few different ones, all give same result) I flashed the full NC5 tar (also did all of this and tested NH7 and OC5) None fixed the bootloop issue.
explicitly repeating the all the steps above and selecting EFS Clear in Odin gets the phone to boot into a working android version minus an EFS partition so baseband "unknown", IMEI "unknown", meid "unknown", etc.

I've tried many times following your exact steps and my modified ones and the above seem to work to get me out of the bootloop. Now if I can only figure out way to fix my EFS partition and/or whatever may be happening . ANY suggestinos? I have a working N900P I can pull partitions from and I can work in linux or windows.

I'm considering using TWRP to backup the working phone's EFS and restoring on the bootlooped N900P. If that doesn't work I'll, again, try moving efs -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p11 fromthe working to the not working AND the TWRP EFS backup/restore from one to the other, factory resetting and hoping for the best. I know IMEI information from my working phone will be in the EFS partition but I know how to fix that with the IMEI under the battery once the phone is operational

Again, any suggestions are appreciated

>>UPDATE<<<
I was able to get rid of boot loop from nvbackup and fix my problem above(baseband "unknown", IMEI "unknown", meid "unknown", etc. ) kind of. I actually copied modem -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 from the working n900P and was able to get the correct baseband to show up as well as an incorrect MEID DEC and Hex, ICCID now shows. I Odin a fresh stock NC5 tar and after rooting and installing custom recovery used DFS edit nv items and input an imei and meid. Phone now has all appropriate info minus sprint account info. phone number, min, etc. Everything seems to be back in order but now i have a red X over reception bars. I'm about to ##RTN# and see if it works to pull in the phone data. I'll update soon

OK I'm back fully working now. I took the sim and sd out. flashed mj4 modem. It still showed NC5. baseband and red X. I finally just thought to try the s4 flasher unlock program on NC5 just for kicks. after it ran I rebooted back into Download mode and rn the mj4 modem again and it all came back online upon reboot. I've got default signal bars(as opposed to red x)

I can't even believe it myself, but considering I "destroyed" my S4 Mini Value Edition (i9515i, European model) by using this command I thought it wouldn't hurt if I tried, because I forgot making a backup of these partitions first (how could I even know this command was going to "destroy" my device?). Anyway, so I flashed your "clean" partitions onto my S4 Mini Value Edition and now it actually boots again!!! Not sure if everything is working again, but booting is enough for me right now. Thank you so much!

Edit: Booting is basically all that is working. Still getting "System not responding" error, anyway, at least it booted again :p Just checked my IMEI etc., it is still gone but at least I was able to check it again.

Try to get a fsg from a working S4.

Ye, that's what I'm trying, have not yet found anyone with the same phone though, the Value Edition is quite new and probably has not too many users. Already asked in the forum, it's (hopefully) just a matter of time until someone is willing (and able) to help me. :)

Take it to a Verizon company store (not agent for verizon) and have then reflash it.

You can do the same at the Samsung section in a Best Buy store.

They can do that? Problem is my phone says custom in the status? What do I tell them? My baseband is null/imei. Will they charge me anything?

All this is null as well.

Yeah so about that...I've been to 1 best buy and they said only if I got the phone at their store and also they don't even do that anyway. The 2 Verizon stores said they have no clue what I'm talking about...this is great just got this phone 2 weeks ago...

Yeah, hate that you wasted the trip. None of those stores Odin flash or repair software issues with phones. They'll probably say you bricked it attempting to root or something and that you need to contact Samsung. IF you get someone that is really helpful they may try to factory reset. I really couldn't imagine any Best Buy or Verizon store flashing software for you outside of a Kies-like manufacturer-made updating program and even then doubt it. For issues like this on those guys are clueless

I fixed it..well i tried a million time to flash with flashfire and it would just go black for a minute than reboot. So I did a test now cause I seen some one had that problem and it was caused by a system mount problem, all I did was try a simple wipe and flashfire world. The second time I had to do the wipe to get flashfire to load up but had the back up start to restore with leaven the system,boot, recovery and data UNCHECKED. Phone restarted and BAM! Baseband and imei were back! What a PIA for over a week of dealing with that..

Hope the thread isn't dead

Hi all,
I hope the masters of android are still in the house.
I have a sm-n900v that keeps losing it's IMEI and baseband. I have odined the stock OF1 firmware several times and I can get all the info on about phone back but it will not survive a reboot. No MIN no PRL no ERI version no IMEI no ICCID nothing.
I have tried AOSP roms and they were no help either.
My phone not been "samsunged" as my mmcblk0p18 does not seem to be corrupted as per the OP.
I haven't tried to write the IMEI to the phone with an editing program as of yet but I think that may fail on a reboot as well. I just can't figure out how it can be there one minute and disappear on a reboot. I got this phone second hand so I don't know its history. If any of you geniuses can point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful.
I can stumble my way through most anything with instructions so feel free to fire away.
Thanks
Loaderboy

Have you used a PIT file when you used Odin to get back to pure stock?

It's a pure guess on my part that a piece of the eemc may be bad or one of the partitions has been mis-sized or over lapping. You can search for the proper pit fileand load it into odin as part of a full wipe then flash.

You should be able to search for a pit file in this q&a forum or in the developer forum.
