[SOLVED] "Open As... Video" problem

I know how to reset the default for a specific app but this problem is not that same problem.

My Note was unable to open mov files unless I held on the file & selected "open as" & "video". It then offered me the choice of apps for video. I selected Video Player & stupidly set as default. Now, video player does not show any defaults set so resetting video player makes no difference.*I still have to open as ... video to get it to attempt to open the mov but then it fails when it automatically goes to use video player.

So I need to reset the open as ... video default to get mov files to prompt for a player as it originally did. I have found tons of posts saying to reset individual app defaults but none are relevant in this case.*Can anybody help please?

Thanks

I think the default app has been set for the file manager you use. There should be an option in its settings to clear the file associations.

Which is ur file manager?

Thanks for the reply. None of the file managers I use have defaults set. ES File Explorer was used at the time the default got set. I also use File Manager HD.

Thanks for that - the 2nd link, Default App Manager Lite, I already tried earlier with no joy. I have pushed the other to my Note & will try again tonight.
Many thanks

Fixed it! @shaun298 suggested clearing the data rather than just the default. This has worked when done on the ES File Explorer. Many thanks for your suggestions! :)

Good to hear that! It was an issue with the File Manager right?

Please add [SOLVED] to the title of ur post then. :)
