You might be flashing the wrong firmware. Make sure that you are using the correct/corresponding Metro PCS/T-Mobile firmware for your device. If your phone is a Metro PCS, it would not let you install the T-Mobile firmware because of the FRP lock and vice verse.

I could not make the diealer to pop out. I did not try the 911 trick. The rootjunky method refers to his specific FRP file. Yes, this is really frustrating.
if the dialer will not pop out on the samsung sign in screen start up side sync on pc andplug the phone in and you should get a pop up to go to the galaxy store then u can do the es file explorer from there

edit: i know this method works as ive bought bypassed frp and resold at least 5 galaxy on5 within the last week

Well I have the T-Mobile version, and mine also is just the SM-G550T on the model number, I was running android 6.0.1 as well. Never had android 5 on it so I cant restore to that firmware. I downloaded the correct firmware and everything, but still no progress

---------- Post added at 07:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:15 PM ----------

The link to the G550T isnt the correct firmware, after downloading I realized that its actually the G550T1 version.

Yes, actually the On5 came originally with Marshmallows. There is not a Lollipop version for this phone to my understanding.

Did you flashed all the files correctly on every BL, AP, CP, CSC, and so on? I so, try only flashing AP, CP, and CSC only. Just do not flash the bootloader BL. Let's see how it goes.

I lined up all the correct files in Odin, spent like 3 hours last night trying to figure it out what I was doing wrong. Im about to give it another try right now, Im going to post all the errors I get on the phone and from Odin to see if you or someone else can figure out what is wrong.

So, when I flash the bootloader, everything works. It flashes and reboots to the FRP lock boot screen with no errors.
When I try and flash the AP file I get an error almost immediately, Phone says that its blocked because of FRP Custom Binary(BOOT) Blocked by FRP Lock
When I try and flash the modem or CP, it gets about 3 quarters of the way and stops at the writing process, odin says fail and the phone says there's an issue with the radio, SECURE CHECK FAIL (RADIO)
The firmware I downloaded also doesn't have a CSC file on it, it has something else called OPT_G550TUVU1APF1.tar.md5 , is that the CSC file? but if it is it doesn't work anyways, almost fails immediately in Odin with no error message on the phone but odin says Complete(Write)Operation failed.
Also when I flash the PIT file, odin says Re-Partition Operation failed. On the phone it says SECURE CHECK FAIL (PIT)
On Odin 3.12

Thats pretty much all the info I've gotten from everything, hopefully someone can help, been trying to figure this out for like a week straight searching all over this forum and youtube trying my best but **** doesnt wanna go my way.

Would you mind possibly doing a step by step with links on this on this while it is fresh on your mind? I have been struggling with the same thing pretty much the last 2 days. I'm sure I won't be the first one to need it. I have the exact same issue with the exact same phone (t-mob sm-g550t).

Great, so this RootJunky method works for almost all android devices.
no, sorry if i misled lol.. it works on lots of Samsung devices with security prior to August...

LG I used another method.

HTC I used another method.. I used an X2Clip software I believe its called that allowed adb even with it not being enabled (usb debugging authorization pops up on the screen) and then an adb command to bring up the browser then shortcut into settings and factory reset lol.

Wow. That's a new one, now Samsung 'infiltrated' odin flashing too?!! Whoa, that is scary!!!

Yep. I too am curious what you did that it finally worked. That Odin 'lock' just scares me to really do anything with this phone, I think I will sell this. Buy a VR ready phone, to use for my VR gear.

Samsung is scaring me. Is samsung the only one with FRP/Google lock? Or all newer android phones are this lock tight? Wow.

Samsung has always done this lol.. you need to use signed odin tars.. what do u think Samsung uses to flash their phones??

The odin lock is because he tried flashing files that dont match whats already on the phone.. in order to flash unsigned tars like twrp or other odin files he needs to OEM Unlock the device first after he bypasses the google lock

FRP/Google lock/Protection is on EVERY Android phone since 5.1.1 Lollipop

---------- Post added at 01:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:38 AM ----------

he needs to oem unlock the device to odin unsigned tars or tars that dont match the device but in doing so will void the warranty

Also, what do you think Samsung uses to flash their devices? lol they are Odin, wouldnt say they infiltrated it haha

I know Samsung use Odin as flash software for their phone dude. If you saw my previous post my built in software was different from the files I flash but mine says OFFICIAL in odin download mode after I flash a different firmware from my built in one. So I think they really did something on ODIN security file check. After all ODIN is their official flash tool. I think rooting forums should go undeground, coz samsung and all these phone company and even google are I think reading and watching all you guys. All the tricks you put here, they put security patch right away. IT is freaking crazy. So to those phone company people, and I know you are reading this, all I can say to all of you is - YOU ARE PARTY POOPERS.

Whatever dude, I made up my mind, I will replace this phone with ZTE zmax pro. Because I want a VR ready phone for my new toy - VR gear.

Good luck you guys. Reading this thread:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/looking-samsung-galaxy-on5-sm-g550t1-t3416761/page15

Makes my head spin. Why do you even bother with custom ROMS even with this crazy lock features these brand new phones are putting now?

I honestly think it really buzz killed the fun on 'rooting' phones nowadays. And I am officially done rooting. I strongly advice all you guys do the same especially with this headache inducing phone. Seriously. :cyclops:

Well so is S6 has frp/google lock. You said yourself 5.1 and newer phones has them, remember. And I won't be scared of frp/google lock anymore because I will repeat it again and again and even caps lock it:

I WON'T ROOT ANY OF MY PHONES ANYMORE!!

Not worth the headache because of this frp/google lock on all new phones.

S6 is pricey. So no. :cyclops:
