Well so is S6 has frp/google lock. You said yourself 5.1 and newer phones has them, remember. And I won't be scared of frp/google lock anymore because I will repeat it again and again and even caps lock it:

I WON'T ROOT ANY OF MY PHONES ANYMORE!!

Not worth the headache because of this frp/google lock on all new phones.

S6 is pricey. So no. :cyclops:
i think u got it all wrong lol.. rooting has nothing at all to do with frp/google lock...

if u get any android and forget your password u will google/frp lock it regardless of root lol samsung or zte or any other android it doesnt matter

Yes it does. You yourself got googled lock trying to mess with this phone. LOL. Who you trying to fool dude? Yourself.?

I got into this very forum when I try to mess with my phone following the steps in one of the threads here. Then was bamboozled first by FRP lock then the freaking google lock. Not their fault, I KNOWINGLY mess with my phone. Only... these party pooper phone people are watching this rooting forums now. Sad.

The SADDEST thing is .... you get FRP lock not JUST by rooting your phone, but with doing JUST a normal upgrade, which HAPPENED to me. And get google locked with doing JUST a normal factory reset!!! Can you believe this BS? for serious now.

I eternally blame the phone thieves.

actually i didnt.. i bought it google locked for 20$, unlocked it and sold for 70$
Cool. I actually am trying to get rid of this phone. Went to metroPCS today, trying to trade this phone to zmaxpro. Unfortunately, they don't do trades anymore. I think it's coz of this stupid locks on new phones.

Where do you sell? Ebay?

On a previous post I mentioned steps required to unlock FRP from the g550t1. There has been some confusion as to the results.
My phone, when FRP was engaged, wouldn't even boot. I'd get maybe 2.5sec before complete shutdown.(no recovery, no loading what so ever..) The steps I provided did not remove the lock, that required alot of patience and, quite frankly, a lot of smashing my head into my desk until something useful came out. I'll build on my previous post with the steps I TOOK THAT WORKED FOR ME. This is in no way a guarantee, promise, or anything of the sort that it'll work as it did for me...
so no whining if you can't figure it out...
Maybe you should have researched more before attempting to modify your device...
I'm just saying..
  • log into your google account-from diff device
  • remove locked device from connected devices section
  • activate sign-out from all accounts
  • change your Google password
  • make sure the 2-step verification is off as well as the sign-in with device option
  • boot device
  • login/activate account with new password
  • follow setup instructions Ion-screen
  • activate developer options menu
  • turn on OEM Unlock (and leave it ON PERMANENTLY) without it, you are asking to be bricked and hit with another FRP lock.
  • continue in any manner you choose
  • try to use more caution and do a little more research in the future.
Happy Hunting...
& Good Luck...
This worked for me. I didn't even have the frp on and I still encounter the custom binary frp lock.
Advice to all keep these files handy because I didn't even have the frp on and I still encounter it.

Ok i did but the same thing happens the frp is on and it wont let me flash BL. AP ends in a failure and cs csc ends with succeeded.
You have to post your firmware version. You can get it by putting the phone in recovery mode. The firmware vesrion is there. When you get it, please post it here.

"SW REV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE 2 BINARY 1 OR DEVICE 1 BINARY 0" means that your current firmware version is higher than the one you are flashing the phone with.
