I have HTC Sensation Z710e. It is S-Off and rooted. It contains stock rom (2.3.4). My device is bought in Dubai and three days ago I received an official update (Asia_India update 1.50 and I was told that there is another update after that 1.52) and I tried to update through CWM and I got error (status 7).
After that, I went and made my sensation SuperCID (everything went smoothy and got CID 11111111). When I tried to update again through CWM, same error appeared.

I was told that I should remove CID assert from update or something like that, I opened the update package on my computer but found nothing.

Need help, thanks.

Hey buddy, although the assert statement removal method i told u works for updates that change a few files on filesystem, it wont work for this update as It makes changes to wifi drivers etc, and possibly the kernel itself which needs original recovery to update.

What u can do is, open the zip file of last update you applied, inside you will find a firmware.zip file. Inside this file is another file called recovery.img. Extract it. Take the CWM zip file, open it and delete the recovery.img file and add the newly extracted one. Basically, after doing this, you will have a flashable zip of original recovery.

Put it in /sdcard (root of sdcard) and reboot into bootloader (Power off the phone, press and hold volume down button and press the power button). It will detect the file and ask you to press volume up button to update. Do so and reboot phone. Now you will have the original recovery and you can install the update.

After installation, you can again flash CWM to get back to it.
