[Solved] vvb2060's MagiskDetector beats Magisk Hide?

Another pretty easy solution was to simply install Disable Service app (https://m.apkpure.com/disable-service/cn.wq.disableservice).

Steps:
1. Force Stop SC app.
2. Clear data of SC app.
3. Open Disable Service.
4. Go down to find the Standard Chartered app in the list.
5. Just uncheck the service that says io.github.vvb2060.magiskdetector.RemoteService service.

I've been using Magisk for so long time. Everything works just fine on my phone. Until today I just realized that I can no longer open one of my banking app. It always ends up saying unusual files detect something. After having some looks through the code I can see that it uses vvb2060's MagiskDetector to detect root and ofc magisk. So I went on installing MagiskDetector apk downloaded from vvb2060's github page and gave it a try. So it DOES detect su in PATH somehow.

I'm pretty sure that I did MagiskHide it and restart. Also tried clear app storage and restart. No luck.

Any suggestions?

So gald to see this post! I also recognized that the new version of SC Mobile contains MagiskDetector made by vvb2060! Maybe we can keep update this topic here if the app changes in the future! Thank you so much, amazing XDAers!

Hey there, I'm on Oxygen OS 9, oneplus 6. So i managed to sort it out, my issue was i had google font and some emoji module on, which is detected by Magisk Detector. So once i isolated those module, i disable then removed them and magisk detector didnt flag anymore.

Summary:
- Magisk Hide + Hide Magisk Manager
- Riru + Riru Momohider v0.7 (4 config in the readme file)
- Reboot reboot reboot.
- magisk detector all good
- bank app all good.

I basically started out by disabling all the modules except the ones i really need, and try to launch app. Then flip them on one by one to find out which one causing the problem. Lots of rebooting. But worth it. Goodluck

This is really nice!!! I got the newest version of SC Mobile HongKong (6.10.0) running! Thanks for your suggestion! So this works by me:

Background: install magisk manager using random package name. Enable Magisk Hide in the manager app and select the bank app within Magisk Hide.
1. install Riru and Riru Momohide (I used the mod one mentioned above.)
2. Reboot
3. Disable the Magisk manager (either though pm disable + the random package name, or just use one app such as Titanium Backup)
4. Open the bank app and enjoy!

I am on A12L on magisk alpha using magisk hide as it is the only way to use specific banking apps ( they do not open on zygisk at all )
Once riru is installed they are broken and force close ( same zygisk behaviour )

Tried Riru unshare and did not solve issue
Tried Momohider with all 4 configs and no go
Also tried to hide magisk manager to random name ( App name is already Alpha and not Magisk ) and still didnot work
Tried to disable Alpha app ( or its random name ) and still did not work

I am desperate to have it working by any mean , my brother have the same setup on a samsung phone while mine is custom rom pixelos ( though my selinux is enforcing and not permissive )
Keep in mind that everything works fine if Riru core is not installed

Thanks for the answer. I'm sorry to say yes, shamiko always worked with C6 Bank app, but even version 2.80, above doesn't work anymore. If you want I can make a video showing it (installing version 2.80 running and then 2.81).

I can work with c6 bank app perfectly.
Probably it is detecting something else than covered by Shamiko.
Like usb debugger enabled or anything else.

Edit: I got it, version 2.81.1 worked!!! I restored the boot.img to original and the c6 bank app worked quickly. Tpcheck passed in all checking root...
