Some noob question fw and root

Hey guys. I just got a new s5. Before I used xperia phones so this whole thing is new for me.
I have a sim free device but the rom is made by vodafone. I'd like to swich to the latest stock free frimware.
Can I do it without losing my warranty? If yes how?
Maybe I want to get root. I saved the new root method but is it safe for the warranty?

You can flash stock firmware without loosing warranty. Just flash using Odin.

Where can I find the latest stock world fw?

Install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser'.

That way you can easily browse/search for the firmware you need.
