^ you should really resize the pictures.

I'm not sure the camera quality is as good as HTC wanted us to believe in the launch event... way better than what my Desire delivers, but by far not the best smartphone pictures I've seen. Hm.

@Leviathan2k: not sure about you, but they don't look blurry to me...then that might be due to me being on my cell & not my desktop

Sent from my stock, rooted LG-P999WA using XDA Premium

I can only see the blur on full-size images, not if they are scaled down to a reasonable size. I guess it's OK quality for a phone... but my very old, cheap 7.2MP Sony camera shoots much better images. Not so good at sharing the images or doing anything at all with them, however :)

These look absolutely brilliant! Something i noticed, when viewed at full resolution there seems to be much less post processing than photo samples i've seen in reviews. Did you by any chance disable or reduce sharpness in the settings?

Here is a batch of my first few outdoor shots, notice I am not a good photographer at all (no good eye for the motives etc.).

The pics are unresized, sizing down would be pointless if you want to find out about how the camera performs IMO. Those were shot on general standard settings, with only face detection turned off. Some are "best shot takes" from burst mode, some singles, some panoramas.

^^^ One 3shot and one 5shot panorama which were >4MB so i resorted to imgur. I am not sure if they resize the pics after upload or not.

^^^ Two three shot bursts with all pics included. It could be just me but it seems that the colors look "duller" on some bursts for some reason.

^^^ Two shot burst both pics with much brighter colors.

^^^ Last but not least, burst mode single pick done on the notebook instead of the phone itself.

Sorry for not having a high variety of motives... It was just a quick test run anyways :)

They did improve quality. Not has good as my sony hx5v.
But for picture that was taken with a phone it is perfect.
Now you can use it for vacation picture not only to send MMS.
Thanks for the samples !

F-stop and shutter speed

I noticed that on all the pictures I take on the HTC One S, none of them report out a f-stop, shutter speed - at least not in windows explorer. Any idea how I can get to this data?
