Not everyone is a programmer to understand source code. People will know if someone who has knowledge will check source code and write about it on github/here. I didn't saw any comparison EdXposed vs LSposed anywhere.
Yes. I can't find any technical comparison or performance test comparison. And I see a lot viral advertising focus on how bad is Edxposed (Without proof) even personal attacks on one of Edxposed dev and how good is Lsposed (Without data / comparison) in Chinese on Chinese web site like Zhihu and Bilibili.

It's open source yes. But even you are programmer and understand source code very well. Sill you may not have enough time and energy to review all code in every change and review it fast enough. That is why last year one of Lsposed dev make a "rm -rf" prank to Edxposed that no one find out in advance and warn everyone. Then cause some people to lose their data.

So, I choose something or not mostly depend on trust. But bad advertising and prank like this really didn't help.

The most security option is keep the device unrooted and unxposed :cowboy:

Personally I DO NOT think it is a moral issue, Neither the first nor only valid Pull Request is submitted by LSPosed developers, and the canal channel specifically reminded "test-only" and "at your own risk".
There are a comment on Coolapk, which was published in 2015:
    酷市场十六字箴言:众怒难犯,众口难调,众矢之的,众志成城。
Which of Edxp and lspxp is better? Both are OK. Of course you are free to choose a framework, praise it as "unprecedented software", or criticize it for being worthless. It's up to you. But it's important not to treat a mobile software as a religion, which is called `饭圈化` in Chinese. As Gustave says in *The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind*, as soon as people enter the group, IQ is seriously reduced, in order to gain recognition, a person is willing to abandon the concept of right and wrong, with intelligence in exchange for that sense of security of belonging.

    1. Everyone has different moral standards. I will not judge the level of moral standards here. But also, I will not accept prank like "rm -rf". And I will not accept there are no apology or compensation.
    2. Sure, canary channel is specifically reminded "test-only" and "at your own risk". What's the point? Does this mean someone intentionally use this to hurt others is a good thing? And people who get hurt is their own problem?
    3. Sure this is not the only one. I remember there are 3 of this kind pranks submitted, right? So what is the point? If more than one man does such thing like this, then no one should be blamed? Because you can't blame majority?
    4. I know what is "饭圈" and other local characteristics stuff that make people irrational and illogical.
    5. I'm very grateful to you for give me your first post. Welcome to join XDA community.

You are repeating your words many, many and many times.
Don't try to get your arguments into the head of others.
If you don't want to use LSPosed, just DON'T use it. LOL.

If you are so freak with LSPosed, go to GitHub and show us your freak.
Don't try to freak others with words like "I don't trust this and someone should say that I'm right".
You already said what you think.
Now, what about to use other arguments?
Like "read this code, people, we should avoid it".
You are just spreading panic unnecessarily.
And we don't want your unnecessary panic.

Which part and how many times? If this is offended you, I'm sorry.
Don't try to get your arguments into the head of others.
No, I'll not do such thing. Everyone has their own understanding. So, is OK if you think this is what I'm doing. But, no is not.
REALLY ? WHO CARES ? I love dirty jokes.
Sure, you can. Maybe you have not met some dirty things that hurt someone around you. But please respect others. Some people are victim of real "dirty" things. And some nasty dirty jokes it will be very offensive.
Don't try to freak others with words like "I don't trust this and someone should say that I'm right".
I'm sure I have only use "trust" 3 times and even not on my last post that reply to TheInterestingSoul. Again, if this is offended you, I'm sorry. And I don't know which part shows "someone should say that I'm right". Please don't overunderstand.

If all my work for "spreading" "panic" is one XDA thread. Don't you think that is complete failure of "spreading"? And the lack of conflict and dramatic words is also a failure of "panic".

"real dirty things" are NOT "dirty jokes".
You are confusing other people and causing panic.
Say arguments and not "I think".

I never said it's exactly the same thing. Literally? Of course NO. Strong connection and make some people fell disgusting and offended?I think so.
You are confusing other people and causing panic.
Frist, thank you for remove the accusation about "spreading". Again, I didn't mean to create confusion and my words are already very clear. I'm sorry if someone get confused and I am willing to explain friendly. Like how I explain all your confuse. About "panic" part. Sure, everyone have different levels of tolerance for panic. My words may cause panic to some people. But I think "causing panic" is still pretty harsh for me because it's very unlikely cause panic.
Say arguments and not "I think".
If you are confused by my rhetorical question in #27. Sorry about that. I admit there is a certain possibility to cause confusion by that. But I don't think that is "argument". It's just normal "discuss". If you are uncomfortable about that. Just tell me what is. I'll try to make you feel better.

In context of the white-hat hacker ethos and existing open source culture; a wall of difficult to translate hieroglyphics and a haughty attitude, do little to earn the trust of a community who has already experienced so much end-user firmware mischief on the open market.

Everyone has their own preferences and needs. Please respect the choice of others and also the developers. Don't attack any of this.
Have something related to discuss? welcome. But please don't complain about this topic isn’t for you.
And please just represent yourself not others.
      Thanks.

Because of you don't know what you are running on your phone. I pay with my phone in shops. I don't want to run some shady software. LSposed developers didn't elaborate why they implementation of Xposed framework is better than EdXposed.
      it's open source
if it has anything suspecious , people would already know
they change how it work (compared to ED) so it just hook only to some apps, not all
which result in less ram usage

If you can read Chinese, maybe you can read these below:

I am very troubled by the following content:
      -
      Edxposed are "饱受诟病"?- "Severely criticized"
There are so bad need use word like that?

Edxposed "面临着停更的风险" - "Risk of stop updating"
What's the point? Lsposed will never stop update? Even original xposed has stop update.

"系统资源的消耗被大大减少,耗电量也有所改善" - "The consumption of system resources has been greatly reduced, and the power consumption has also been improved"
      Best have test data.

"Lsposed 的默认白名单设定使得用户的个人隐私得到保障" - "Whitelist make personal privacy more security"
Really? Edxposed have whitelist too. Is that means Edxposed's whitelist somehow not safe? Better have more explanation.

"主要维护者solohsu是一只老鸽子" - "Main maintainer solohsu is an old pigeon" (Meaning he is lazy)
      No need to personal attack.

Edxposed "存在大量历史包袱" - "Edxposed inherited a lot of errors"
Something wrong with compatibility? Or what? A little more specific will be help.

"EdXposed管理器没有很好地适应当前Xposed界的发展情况,允许用户进行一些可能给手机带来卡顿的操作。" - "The EdXposed manager does not adapt well to the current development of the Xposed, allowing users to perform some operations that may cause lag to the phone"
So Lsposed will not allowed user to do anything cause lag to the phone? Install any kind of xposed or just intall more app will certain make phone more laggy.
      -

If all this is not post by Lsposed devs, then devs should do something to avoid being over-exaggerated and provide more information.

      My personal test shows:
LSPosed-v0.5.4.1-5175 VS EdXposed-v0.5.2.2_4683 (All use whitelist sandhook with GravityBox XposedEdge and Firefds Kit enable on a same Samsung Note 9 stock Android 10 OneUI 2.5)

Same performance in Antutu / 3DMark / Geekbench 5 (Within normal error)
Same experience of system UI and APPs

For now. Lsposed is just a new Edxposed manager have better whitelist mod and set it in defult.

Hope devs can make it better. And thanks for all your work. Cheers.
