Just got a pixel but I'm having the same issue as on my s7 edge.

On my car stereo it doesn't show the artist/song info.

It works fine with LG G4 but both the Samsung and pixel don't work.

I've tried the few apps on the play store that alledge to fix the issue and neither do. (Autoaudio helper, fixify)

One of them does display some Info but it's unstable. (Botifier)

Does anyone else have the same issue or a fix?

Thanks

The stereo is a kenwood KDC-BT73DAB

None of the music apps I've tried seem to send the track info.

At least on the Samsung its own music player did, but Spotify didn't.

Have you tried toggling the media button in the Bluetooth profile while it's connected.
Yep tried that, and toggling the phone profiles.

With the botifier app i mentioned earlier, if you press the "test notify" button, the correct song details do appear for a split second, but then the botifier test appears. Unfortunately notifier hasn't been updated for years and doesn't load the metadata properly anyway.
