Did You install driver from device? Must show You sonim diag port , on path select any folder then start backupThanks for the quick responce.
No Go, I have enabled USB TEST but neither application will detect the device for QCN. Sonim tool sees it for restoring but no go for QCN Backup.

That was it. I asumed that if I can see the device in ADB that the drivers were installed however that was not the case.Did You install driver from device? Must show You sonim diag port , on path select any folder then start backup

Sonim Feature Phone Software Installer_V2_6.exe

Tool download https://qpsttool.com/, you have sonim xp3800 public version IMG backupThis ftp required user\pass. Have one or can reupload to somewhere? Thanks.
Its a pity is outdated. Very useful app, fast and only required there. Also it works with 3, 5, 5s, 7 and 8. Maybe with 6 too, didnt tested as haven't 6 in my collection.
And is hard to freely give away lol I mean that's why these threads are started to help each other not make moneyFollow the steps in post #18 for Userdebug. Follow them INCLUDING backing up your phone, I would also download the sonim XP8 software update tool from the links in that post as well. Use this to do a QCN backup of your phone so that if anything goes wrong you will be able to restore back to what you have now.
Under userdebug flash step 5 replace the "--sendxml=rawprogram0.xml" with "--sendxml=Backup.xml", also make sure your working directory is the Backup SONIM XP8 clean directory. This will give you a phone with the Global firmware but.... no sim and the phone is stuck on android 8.1 build 54.
There are some steps to finish which Xombiex will have to fill in as this is his tweak/mod.
This should you both a start but .......just remember the people that have learned this knowledge have have spent many hours and bricked countless phones to gain this information and it becomes hard to freely give it away.
I am also interested in the Global ROW (Rest Of World) Android 10 so if any one has this, feel free to share 8A.0.4-07-10.0.0-31.09.00
I was stating that it was not my information to give away, Xombiex has helped me as well for free. And is hard to freely give away lol I mean that's why these threads are started to help each other not make money
Ok I get it well every time I try back up my firmware I get Qsahara error failure to down load image how can I fix this?I was stating that it was not my information to give away, Xombiex has helped me as well for free.
i was trying the method in post #18how are you backing it up?
The most complete way that I found was https://xdaforums.com/t/guide-how-t...-storage-on-most-of-qualcomm-devices.3949588/ Follow through 5a. This will give you a full backup.
and the guide you sent me requires fastboot and these phone have limited fastboot it wont flash nothing
