Shouldn't we be able to connect a pair of say Bluetooth headphones to the tv? I have the KDL W800D model from a few years back, and it is never able to scan and connect to the XM4s

Yes, of course. You would say.
The CRAZY thing is:
- That a Sony soundbar (HT-CT790) ALWAYS has troubles with my Bravia (KD-55X8505C) over HDMI;
- That a Sony headphone (WH-1000XM3) ALWAYS has troubles with my Bravia over Bluetooth!
Sony is bad news, and Sony + Sony is triple the bad news.

As can be found here in the forums, please update all firmwares (tv by usb/internet, headphone with the phone app), and clear ALL Bluetooth lists/connections in tv and/or headphones. Reboot/restart all.

Solution:
Use the app Bluetooth Scanner by ZD Works! Paid or Free.
It works WAY better than Sony's own software and after a lot of tries, I got it connected!

For your (and my) information, I have switched/upgraded to a newer tv/Bravia!
I will probably not update my Big Sony Bravia post as frequent anymore.

My TV is Sony Bravia XR-X90S. It's the same model as the 90K, with slightly worse speakers. Google TV System 10. The Creative Sound Stage v2.1 sound bar is connected to the TV (ARC/eARC,) and is properly recognized by the TV and working (PCM only). Unfortunately, after connecting to HDMI 4 (and other HDMI) of the HiMedia Q10 PRO player, the sound from the soundbar disappears and it cannot be started in any way by combining with changing the sound settings. It is also not possible to control the player with the TV remote control. I will add right away that this problem does not occur in my other TVs: Samsung and LG. Any ideas for a solution?

it have android 9 and 2/16 GB memory, chipset is Mediatek 5891 with 4 core x 1.1 GHz. since it is really poor hardware, i have issues like on old phone. have 10 apps i am using, IPTV, RTL, HRT, Chrome, Zoom, and few others. when i connect thru VPH - IP Vanish, apps are opening very slow, have delays few seconds. when i do factory reset, a while it works good, but after few weeks it become slow as hell.. internet connection speed is good for my country, 140/40 mbit.
how to clear dalvik cache parititon on that device? i only suceeded to do a factory reset from power button and volume -
it have newest firmware ver. 6.7210 from September 2022.
i dont use 4k videos, will it be little faster if i choose FHD 60HZ instead 4K?

Hello everyone,
I ask for your help because I got an issue with my Android TV
I have a Sony KD-55XD7005 connected with ARC to my Pioneer SC 1224
I do have the control of my Home theater from the TV remote (mainly the volume), and when I turn off the TV, it turn off the AV receiver. That's OK
But when I wake the TV up (the AV wake up too), I don't have this control anymore.
I have to do one of these 3 things
-Shutdown manually the AV receiver
Or -go to the setup and choose the TV sound (it shutdown the AV) then choose HT sound (it starts the AV)
Or -reboot the TV
Then I recover the control of my AV receiver
I already tried to navigate in the sound setup, with Bravia sync and so on.. but I couldn't figure it out
I didn't find a similar case with the search bar

Same problem here. Even pulled the screen mirroring app from my old Sony TV and tried installing it on the XH9505, but wouldn't install.

If we could root the device, we could try reactivate it by editing build.prop.

Hi all , I have a UK Bravia KD-55A8G that I would like to get more out of.

Is there such a thing as custom ROMs for Bravias?

It has a built in 'Youview' system which is rubbish, but there is an option to disable it , however I don't know what exists to replace it? Eg Is there an app for Freeview play instead?

In the UK there has recently been release of a new version of ITV hub called ITVx , I just want to make sure my TV is up to date and I figure the Youview system is not being supported anymore.

Attached tv box with amlogic S922XJ 4/32 and it is flawless..
I knew from begining that this poor setup wil not work more than 5 yrs. It is outdated.

I connect to my sony xh90, not with cable, but wirelessly through the same wifi, with this app.

You can debloat, and you can send adb command. You can't root sony tv.
You must enable developer options in tv and there, allow debugging. Google it for more..

Actually with the app i posted, it shows all services /apps of the tv and you just tick to debloat whatever you want. You don't need to use adb commands at all. It's very very easy. Same way you get them back if you want to make it as original.
There is a list of services you can debloat in sony android tv. Google it. I have debloated some.
Also there is this very good launcher which is lighter, faster, with more options, i have it in sony xh90. See my video and description :
If you use it, better freeze original launcher with the app i posted before. I have done it. If you want to go back to original launcher, just unfreeze it and uninstall the new launcher.
If anyone wants do a subscribe there in my channel (it's not professional) , I'll post some videos whenever i find the time, how you can do this and many others in android tv.
