I am having the issue, obviously our phones are branded... I THINK i might have actually unlocked the bootloader using S1TOOL with TP, but cant manage to get into fastboot... Is there any way to get around this issue anyone? And yes i have done everything right trying to get into fastboot... :(

Sent from my SK17i using XDA App
Did you get anywhere Majco? I'm in a similar position. I think I've unlocked the bootloader using the S1Tool, but can't access fastboot.

Would rather not pay if I can avoid it.

I didn't think s1tool could enable fastboot anyway or am I wrong?
This is what I'm trying to find out ;-)

I didn't think bootloader unlocking without a box was possible, but I seem to have done it.

If the answer's that it can't be done without hardware, then I may well be coming to you for help.

Can you pm me what you'd charge to sort my phone out?

Thanks

To anyone interested, I've managed to use FlashTool (having unlocked the bootloader using the s1tool and the hardware method) to install the 2.3.4 on my Orange branded phone.

I now have a bootloader unlocked generic ROM instead of a bootloader locked Orange ROM, but still don't have Fastboot.

To get FlashTool to flash, you need to hold the Volume down button before you plug in the USB. The light goes green.

As usual the only way is with a box :p
how do you 'enable' fastboot? Is it not enabled for all phones anyway?

OK just flashed my first kernel with this phone and I can overclock just fine.

Driver problem

how do you 'enable' fastboot? Is it not enabled for all phones anyway?

I haven't flashed a kernel on the 2011 devices yet so I don't know if mine's enabled.

Because I can enable fastboot on all Xperia's

Yes, drivers very often can be a problem with this stuff.

One time I had to uninstall any mobile phone related program, then reinstall PC Companion which then started sorting the drivers correctly.

Yesterday, I tried fastboot for the first time, so I put the phone in fastboot then connect it to the computer. The 'installing driver' mini window immediately popped up.

If you really are having big problems, this might help.

Basically if you get a blue light when connecting the USB and holding volume up then it is a computer/driver issue.

Go to service menu *#*#7378423#*#* from dialer
Then service info, then Configuration

If it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"

You have to enable fastboot with setool or similar program

If it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes"

Then go over to THIS link and you should be ok :D

If bootloader unlock allowed:no you can't enable it, sometimes it becomes yes when you use wotan server to desimlock, but I can't promise...
Otherwise you can't do anything...

Oh just found that, maybe try it, but at least you will have to pay and it's testpoint method :(

hello, i have a problem with xperia ray. the phone cannot enter in fastboot( vol+ blue led), when i do this, it enters in flash mode. the phone not starting from de power button.. i have to connect in flash mode( vol-,usb connect), and after showing the battery charging screen, it reacts at pressing power button. unlocked bootloader and origiinal firmware(forsaken version in kernel/rom/etc thread). i've tested with the locked bootloader too, but it's the same problem.
ps: after the android loads, the home key does not do anything, and the volume keys are reacting with a very long lag.
tks for any help.
