I'm the same as Takenover83 (US Model D5316, running Android Version 4.4.2 , build 19.1.A.0.486.). And I feel like this really needs some clearer instructions, without all these hypotheses. I don't wanna take the risk with this, when there might be a better, more efficient way.

This method is correct but there are some added steps that I did which helped, I will post a thread with a walk through and links for what I did. I have the D5316 and I have confirmed root.

For everyone who wants to try this method, it really works with D5316, recommendations; never flash the pre-rooted zip on cwm, always do it using TWRP, it will never boot if you never flash it with this because when you flash CWM it is being recognized as it was DUAL version, so it will bootloop for ever
