Sony Xperia Tablet (4.0.3) - My Experiance

Not sure what irt is with Sony, but they are very slow with software updates and updating those updates to the latest versions.

Why not 4.0.4 on thr tablets, its got several performance improvement s. You'd expect them to be quick given the size of the company.

Interested in getting the Xperia T to, but who knows when 4.1 will be there for that!

Depends on angle I think, I've had times where it worked without it being directly pointed at the tv and times where I have to point it at the tv.

Just got my Xperia tab a week ago. I must say it is an amazing tablet. The software is the only downside, as there is a few bugs and snags here and there, but the overall experience is very, very good. Just replace the launcher with Nova, or something else, and you are golden. I can only recommend it! The only major "drawback" besides the software is the batterylife. It is good, but not overwhelming.. Also, I seem to find the charging plug a bit flimsy when it is plugged in.. Afraid it might snap off..

Allthough, I can't understand why this tab isn't more popular than it is, consumers and developers alike. Good specs, great price, nice design and features. Whats not to like? Among the newer android tablets that I've tried, it is by far the one with the best out-of-the-box-performance. Much smoother than galaxy tab 2 or transformer t300 for instance. It also has superior build quality and feel compared to the samsung and asus.

All in all, IMO one of THE best tablets out there right now. All we need now, is some custom ROMS for this thing, but it doesn't appear to have the popularity for it.. just a shame.

They call you? I thought you have to send it in, I haven't since I'm using the tablet for school and I did kinda walk through light rain while reading last week so it might be fine for me.

My Xperia Tablet S is being sent off for the free waterproofing inspection tomorrow.

Upgraded to Release6 before doing a factory resent and it certainly seem smoother... (placebo?)

Support say my device will take 10 days to repair, I know some have been offered a refund with this, i'm tempted but there's no other tablet out there other than this that takes my fancy!

I still haven't sent mine and I recently walked through the rain with the tablet out while reading, it didn't seem to have any problems with being splashproof so I don't think I have to I might after the semester is over though.

I don't think rooting uses the same procedure, but I haven't checked.

I´m not sure about the battery life on my tablet. There is something going on alle the time i think but i´m not able to see what it could be.

i call sony why they take more than 10 days to get my tablet fix, they said the parts are backorder, so i have to wait like 5 more days...

i juz got my tablet back from Sony after repair. it took about 1 month to fix it... ~_~||| but they gave me a $30 Sony gift card and SGPDS4 XPERIA Tablet Stand cost around $25.

anyway i did a restore default on my tablet then update to the latest ROM 4.0.3 (release06a) but theres a problem with my wifi... everytime i turn on my tablet it wont connect to any wifi network at all, it wont detect any network at all. so i install the Advance Wifi Lock app that i use to have when the wifi connection wasnt stable before the update. but it doesnt work right now...

also i got an update from play store say my youtube app need to be update. so i updated it and now i get this error

i uninstall the update and my YouTube app work just fine

anyone have these problem?? please help!!

So I just got this thing today!

Not sure what I think of it yet.

Ps3 remote hooks up without root.

Games. There is no ps store!
I cant play mc3 big downer for me. Lets me download but when I open it it says game not compatible with device. I swear we have close enough hardware as the nexus 7 which I own also and it plays just fine on that.

Gta wont download for me either. It lets me download it then when i open it and tey to download the rest of the game it just sits there and does nothing.

The keyboard.
So far it requires me to double click on a text field to bring up the keyboard. One click wont do.
It does this wierd thing where if yoy are logging into a site the username field has the standard keyboard, then on the password section it switches the keyboard to a full sized one with a numeric keypad on the right. This annoys me because it does it as I am typing my password making me hit the wrong key. It is kind of having the rug pulled from under you.

There are definitely some quirks, but it is a very nice tablet and im going to give it a shot and see if I can get used to this thing.

How do you do to pair them? You use thne cable?

I got that problem too, from the release 6b android os is taking power like crazy, sony need to push an update for this leak in the battery

All admin rights to the SDcard where allowed in an update I received when the device was turned on.

I can delete and paste to the SDcard.

can you move the installed apps to sdcard2 from internal memory.. and put the huge data files in external SD card..??
