GSMArena is a pretty legit source, they must believe it in some manner if they posted it up.

I think it's true, I find it hard to believe that Sony would skip out on the high end market this entire year.

White paper

Sony mobile makes its "white papers" available, and according to that the screen only supports 16,777,216 rather than over a billion as specified in the HDR specification. It also includes a 'Micro USB support' rather than USB-C, unfortunately. So for me that means I'll be waiting the new wave of Sony phones out until they can meet our modern demands. Also, I miss my glass back :( :crying:

It's not easy to make a phone that makes people happy...

For me it is just perfect that they have gone back to a back that is NOT made of glass... Actually my plan is to never ever buy a phone with a glass back again...
To me it's just an unnecessary risk of breaking the back... ;)

Use a case? Lol. You do realize if you drop a aluminum phone it can spin and Crack the front glass as well without a case. Risk is just slightly lower but you'll sent the phone which is as bad as a Crack imo.

Call me "outdated", but for me that's ridiculous.
You can argue if you should get 720p or 1080p (on < 5"), but 4K and 120hz? For real? They should rather try to invest in a good battery life. Sony tbh managed it in the Z1-Z3 era. With my old Z2 I had almost 1 1/2 Days of battery with like 8-9h Display on. That's amazing. Not some gimmickry like 4K, HDR, 120hz and stuff.
Yea, the new devices have QuickCharge, but still. a longer lasting battery would be better in my eyes.
