In all the photos from this phone posted on the web and in reviews, including the pics here like the ones from afuller42, I noticed that background foliage and grass looks terribly cartoonish and fuzzy with details obliterated, compared to say HTC U11, LG G6 or even S7 / S8. This is not just low-light I'm referring to but also in daylight with low ISO. Some of the most representative examples of this issue can be found on the XZ Premium review on notebookcheck.
Can some of you who have the phone confirm this is an issue in all settings or did you find some mode in which this over-processing can be avoided or at least minimized ?
I'm asking this because I was originally planning to replace my old Z1 compact with the new XZ1 compact, which has the same camera as XZP, but really so far I see more of a regression in terms of picture quality in daylight.
