I just got the OTA update to 47.2.A.8.24 on my G8142 and I'm still getting frozen apps on screen unlock, as I have in many apps since the Pie update. Anyone else getting this?

How it happens:
1. Open app.
2. Screen off.
3. Screen on.
4. Sometimes: App's screen doesn't update any more until you switch to another app and back (but still registers clicks/swipes as if the app were running fine, you just can't see any changes on-screen). Swipe down from top still opens the notifications panel but just opening that and going back to the app doesn't fix it. Going to Home and back or application switcher and back does fix it.

I've had this happen in Bumble, Tinder, OS Settings, Chrome (except there the web page goes black instead of maintaining the previous screen), Piktures (black screen instead of maintaining the image, like Chrome), Timely (where the countdown timer is still running, just the screen isn't updating to show that), Play Store, and Acrobat Reader.

In all cases, the app isn't actually frozen and you can still blindly take actions, you just can't see the result of those actions until to switch away and back.

Anyone else get this? Happens to me multiple times per day.

Say, is there any region other than CN that doesn't include Google (and up-to-date)? I looked at several regions (GEL, MM, VN, SA, AE) and didn't find one. Currently CN region is still at 6.30 and I've been waiting for ages since 8.24 and now 10.28... and if I want to go to a newer eXistenZ version (or other kernels) I'll definitely need at least 8.24 from now.

The reason is, I want to isolate stock Google from the system (because it's so bloated with like Chrome, Gmail, Drive and a lot more that I don't want or I prefer an open source alternative)... While I still need to run GApps (only because of Wear OS, if microG had matured enough I'd have ditched it already), I'd be using tools like MagicGApps (with OpenGApps pico, which is what I've already been doing on 6.30 CN for eXistenZ 4.0) so I can be in control of what Google components I want to have on the device this way, that I'll have only the GApps components I need and that's it.

But after a detailed diff between the CN region and other regions I realized it's not possible. Compared with CN region, I found there were several system components that have been "infested" to work with Google Services (System apps whose names begin with Google, implying that portions of its functionality are stubs that would be redirected to Google Services. On CN region, they were replaced with a non-Google, or sometimes country-specific variant, but in overall free from Google Services). Simply debloating stock Google stuffs would have a high probability of breaking the system.

EDIT (Apr 15, 2019): The 10.28 is finally out for CN region while other regions got 10.45 at the same time. Like last time, the region skipped 8.24.
